Nice and well deserved. Congrats! I have to add that I was walking on stand one afternoon and had a doe that surprised me near my ground cedar tree setup.. once I noticed her, I never stop walking and ignored her (20 yards away) and she just watched me. I snuck in my cedar tree, setup quickly, and she continued as normal and walked right Infront the tree for a perfect 15-yard bow shot. It was one of the craziest hunts I will remember forever.

I shot my 6 pt deer just to fill the freezer on Saturday afternoon. I just don't have the time this year to be picky, also in my area the deer are the toughest deers in the world to hunt them, people scare them all the time and too much hunting pressure.

Great video guys! I loved to see titan get that buck on the last episode. That was a little lucky he got one so quickly but so awesome. What a great memory! Carson did amazing self filming that hunt on that awesome buck. Its so hard to get good footage and make the shot. Now its Jordan and Bills turn. I have a question bill. I was watching you walk over some of that downed timber you cut in the off season and had a thought. What if you bought that farm and never stepped foot on it for the entire time you owned it? I wonder if the mature bucks would value the solitude over the great food and cover. I live by tons of public land with lots of hunting pressure and that seems to be the case here. I know all the work you did on the farm will pay off in the long run. I just cant help but think that having a section of land that was untouched by humans for years would be a mature buck haven.
@bill-winke3 ай бұрын
Yes, to some degree that is true. But they live in people's backyards too, if they are not messed with directly. They know hunting pressure from farming pressure and even from generic non-threatening human contact. Once I get this place the way I want it, I will scale back on the chainsaw time, etc. But to answer your question directly, this farm had little human presence for years leading up to me buying it - cattle pasture - no food. It was really bad when I bought it. It is getting better each year. If I can keep producing these videos, I think you will be surprised what is on this place in a few years. Thanks for the comment and good luck.

Congratulations Carson ! You deserve it buddy....Carson hunt really showcased the amount of work that goes into a successful hunt... especially hang and hunts plus the camera gear can be really challenging. Bill you mentioned Carson season was over. Is that because he doesn't have a land owner's tag? You can only shoot one buck as a resident???
@bill-winke3 ай бұрын
That's right. You can shoot another buck but it has to be in the late season - unless you own land. Then you can get an extra either sex tag. I expect Carsen will do some hunting out of state, too. Thanks for the comment. Have a great day.

i have no idea how you got it on film either, awesome job. Do yourself a favor and get camcorder where you can control the zoom with a remote on the handle instead trying to turn the lens. Sony Ax700, really doesnt sacrifice much quality.

@bill-winke3 ай бұрын
Boy, I wish I knew. The rut will usually do it, but there is no way that I know to manipulate him to do it if he doesn't want to do it. The other option is to hunt as close to where he beds as you can. That will also work, but obviously there is risk in spooking him when you do that. Good luck.
