Hey, I've been noticing something that might come back to aggravate all of us who've uploaded vids with copyright-owned music. KZbin's Auto-Generated identification of the music used in your Use Me remix is just the latest example. It's clear that your Use Me remix uses the original 1972 Use Me which is copyright-owned by a bunch of folks, Im sure. And your remix also use karaoke tracks or stems, etc. Yet, KZbin's Auto-Generated identification software (and thus likely also its auto-copyright A.I. algorithm) registered only what it thinks is the copyrighted music of an Al Jarreau cover. It completely missed the 1972 original by Bill W.!! (Click on your info box above to see this mistaken identity). And so it's OK'd your upload on incomplete info. KZbin makes the same mistakes with my uploads when I include remixes: it OK's them on the basis of its own errors & misinformation in its database of prohibited tunes and allowed tunes. Obviously it's a very flawed A.I.. My fear for me is that one day, the rightful owner(s) of the tunes in the remixes used in many of our uploads will file an objection to KZbin and YT will discover the scale of its mistakes, leading to mass-blocking of a lot of uploads it mistakenly greenlighted in 2023. Yes I've already had "strikes" against my channel from songs that had previously passed KZbin's copyright checks and then months/years later suddenly become copyright protected. This is just a hobby to me (I don't receive or expect to get anything for it) and if someday KZbin blocks all of my efforts then it will be a shame, but life will go on. It would be great if KZbin was clearer about what can/cannot be used (or had a method for us to ask/demo what it is that we want to use/show) At the end of the day if this hobby becomes too much of a hassle I'm lucky enough in that I'll just find something else to do.
