Not sure why but just now catching these vids on the Smothers Brothers. Time passes (i'm 63) and we sometimes forget what was in our earlier years. This show was a classic - nothing surpasses the comedic genius of Tom & Dick Smothers. Look back at all the guests - never to be repeated. The 20 yr reunion was a true testament that only the strong will survive. (and I believe they are still alive and performing )Smart move CBS - I guess it only took 20 years to finally pull your head out of .your AS* (censored so they wont get upset 🤬) Thanks for posting this vid!!

One has to wonder if their firing by CBS didn't do more for their legend than keeping them would have. I'm actually glad the show didn't just fade away with a whimper during the disco era. It made this reunion all the more sweet. And kudos to both the brothers and CBS for not holding a grudge!

I had the honor of driving Tommy to Washington,D.C. around 2015 to a comedy club that night with Lewis Black and a few others I didn’t recognize. I worked for a Limo company then. Tommy is a super nice guy and talks to everyone. He is crazy on stage but also when he isn’t on stage! I don’t think it’s an act! He is just always on! Same with Robin Williams according to a fellow driver. Got my pic with Tommy. Awesome night!
