Dance Monkey and Blinding Lights would have dominated the Global 200 chart in the November - May period. Both spent 16 and 17 weeks respectively atop the United world chart. The global 200 is fine guys are we seriously getting mad at this? I’m v grateful for it! From 2014-17 I spent hours every week trying to make my own international charts from the info I could get available cause the methodology of all the other international charts either never existed or was poor. I always wanted to see what the entire world was listening to the most. Now, maybe billboard should be looking for more sources for sales and streaming data or change their sales formula or whatever, but it is great for the first time since I followed the charts to see an actual legitImate international chart using real streaming and especially sales data from actual downloads My biggest problem with it is that if people start to follow it more than their national charts, all the worlds national charts could start to get even more homogenised than they currently are And as for old songs like believer and perfect being on there, yeah it’s not great, but personally for an international chart, I think it’s better to not have any recurrent rules or acr so we can actually see what the entire world is buying and listening to. And if millions are still listening to shape of you everyday, so be it
@themodereviews31824 жыл бұрын
Oh and btw, yeah it’s annoying 101-200 is under a paywall but the 100 is free, and personally I have no issue with that

You know what I use to do? I use to look up K-Pop, J-Pop, British, New Zealand, and Australia charts from years ago on their own website. This is how to bypass the paywall. While the page is loading, you should see an "x" where the refresh button usually is. Press the "x" before it finishes loading and you'll be able to see part of the global 200. By the way, I think the global 200 is a fantastic idea. It's a really good way of exposing Americans to new sounds and artists and musical genres that they might not have heard before and it's a good way of showing people some of the great songs that chart in other countries that never touch the billboard 100

So apparently that global 200 is also behind a paywall, Billboard, Why the hell do you expect people to pay for these horribly inaccurate charts with your laughably outdated formula, let’s be real here, the daily/weekly Spotify and Apple Music charts are the real hot 100 at this point and the true reflection of what the public is actually choosing to listen to and I can look at both at those for free on KWORB, so what made you decide to do this, Billboard?

Was anyone else expecting Big Sean's Album Bomb to be a lot bigger than it was this week? Also, what all of you think of the new Big Sean album. I haven't listened to it. Also, what did everyone think of the new SZA song. Anyway, Predictions for next week: Get ready for the return of Youngboy Never Broke Again yet again with his upcoming Album Bomb for Top which will most likely boost Kacey Talk and All In up the chart. Also, a new single from Trippie Redd, a new collaborative single from Demi Levato and Marshmello, a new Usher single called Bad Habits, and a new single from Mr Eazi and Major Lazer called Oh My Gawd which will chart because Nicki Minaj is featured on it. Also The Weeknd released the Instrumental version of Blinding Lights as a single so it will allow Blinding Lights to stay on the charts a lot more. Also, I have a feeling that Lemonade by Internet Money and Gunna is going to become a big hit. It's at #38 this week. Also on an unrelated, does anyone else hope to see Gorillaz back on the charts again? Last time they did was with Humility back in 2018. Also, expect Mood to reach the Top 5 or Top 2 real soon. Also, Albums coming this week and the next coming weeks: Virgo World by Lil Tecca, Alica by Alica Keys, and Heaven and Hell by Ava Max this week on the 18th. So Help Me God by 2Chainz on the 25th of September. BLACKPINK The Album by BLACKPINK and My Life 4Hunnid by YG on the 2nd of October. Let me know if I forgot anything. Everything else is great too. 9/10 Lithuania: This has been said multiple times, but every time Travis is on someone's song, it has to be a big orchestral psychedelic trap song where he's checked out. This song isn't bad, but I really want Travis to stop making the same song. 5/10 Wolves: Sonically, Posty's part is just the title track from Hollywood's Bleeding, which I like. 7/10 Relación: Another Latin posse cut with a stiff Reggaeton beat? Was Sean friends with Nipsey?
@crazyluigi66644 жыл бұрын
Nipsey did admit he wanted to collab with some of Detroit's finest in the making at the time, showing respect for the city. So yeah, he was fairly familiar with Big Sean.
@riahlexington4 жыл бұрын
Crazy Luigi just saying you want to collaborate doesn’t make you friends. But he said he was struggling to cope with Nipsey’s passing. I was just wondering.

Do you guys think that NBAYoungboy’s album will affect the charts a lot next week? I think it might.
@cynicthecritic31534 жыл бұрын
I can see about 3-4 songs charting, but I doubt it'll leave much of an impact the majority of YoungBoy's songs will drop out a week or so after the album bomb.
@positivitymaster48554 жыл бұрын
CynicTheCritic You’re right about Youngboy’s songs falling off, but I guess we’ll have to see.
@RSully944 жыл бұрын
I don't see it affecting the Top 40. I don't see it causing a bunch of exits for old hits either - especially when Party Girl will be out anyway at 20 weeks and below #50 and Intentions is on the cusp of leaving naturally. It pretty much only survived because BLACKPINK fell harder and below it and Be a Light tumbling off as well.
