I think the song's success can be attributed more to Alessia Cara. Logic never really had any big hits before this, but this is Cara's 4th Top Ten. Expect her next solo single to debut high.

That aside, my best went to Love So Soft, with honourable to Let Me Go, worst Lil Pump (obviously), and dishonourable to Chris Brown. Shame "Marry Me" by Thomas Rhett only reached #9 on Bubbling. I swear I will laugh if Bodak Yellow by Cardi B does become #1 next week or the week after. I am serious. Also, this is a stretch, I am predicting that the Gary Clark Jr. cover of Come Together by The Beatles from the upcoming Justice League movie to appear on the charts, say, a month before the movie comes out. I say that because, the audio version has finally been released and is gaining traction on social media. I may be spit-balling here.

[September 30, 2017] My thoughts on the Hot 100 this week (RESULTS MAY VARY): The Top 10 TW; Status-> [^, v, =, *, R]; (LW)|"Song" by Artist: (Opinion) [Score This Week] #1 =|"Look What You Made Me Do" by Taylor Swift: Yep, I still hate it. Though Taylor's previous work in the late 2000's may not be that good to me, at least they made her sound unique. We now fast forward to 2017 and that Taylor Swift is DEAD. She's like any other artist we have heard of before. That begs to question… What did we made her do? [0/5] #2 =|"Bodak Yellow" by Cardi B: Okay, so you have a lot of money. Who cares? [1/5] #3 ^ (#5)|"1-800-273-8255" by Logic ft. Alessia Cara & Khalid: This is still a great song, check it out if you haven't already. [4.5/5] #4 v (#3)|"Despacito" by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee ft. Justin Bieber: I'm starting to like it a little bit more now. [+0.5 -> 3.5/5] #5 *|"Too Good At Goodbyes" by Sam Smith: We'll get into it later… #6 =|"Wild Thoughts" by DJ Khaled ft. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller: Opinion's left unchanged. [3.5/5] #7 ^ (#9)|"Unforgettable" by French Montana ft. Swae Lee: *FLASHBACK* (…I do expect it to be kicked out of the Top 10 next week.) Apparently I was wrong about that and it's still in the Top 10. That's the good news for those two artists, however, the bad news is that I have to deduct 0.5 points because the more I think about this tune, the more I believe it doesn't seem to fit; hence the album cover. [-0.5 -> 3/5] #8 v (#7)|"Attention" by Charlie Puth: I'm liking this a little more, but Charlie's voice still needs a bit of work… Charlie: "♫You got me thinking about when you were *voice breaks* mine…♫" Yeesh! At least TRY and make your voice sound more powerful than that. [+0.5 -> 3.5/5] #9 v (#8)|"Believer" by Imagine Dragons: Dan: "♫I was broken from a young age/Taken my sulking to the masses/Writing my poems for the few♪" Me: "T_T…" Dan: "♪That look to me, took to me, shook to me, feeling me/Singing from heartache from the pain/Taking my message from the veins/Speaking my lesson from the brain/Seeing the beauty through the…♪" Me: "T_T…" Dan: "PAIN!" Me: "O_O!" Dan: "♪You made me a, you made me a believer, believer♫" Yeah, that sounds like you're forcing it don't you think? I just wanted to point that out because it's still a meh. [2/5] #10 =|"There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" by Shawn Mendes: Opinion's left unchanged. [4.5/5] New Arrivals #99|"Let Me Go" by Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso ft. Florida Georgia Line & Watt: This is a collaboration I did not expect and, surprisingly, this is not that bad. In my opinion, this is actually really good, so I will take it. [4/5] #98|"Pills And Automobiles" by Chris Brown ft. Yo Gotti, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie & Kodak Black: What's with so much auto tune in your voice, Chris? (Either way, this isn't the first time he did that.) Also, the chorus is just you saying "wet" over and over, like we have to know what the song is actually about. As for the other artists featured here, their lines are a mixed bag. [1.5/5] #85|"No Limit" by G-Eazy ft. A$AP Rocky & Cardi B: Yep, just another generic strip club anthem. What more is there to say about it? Yeah, pass. [1.5/5] #81|"Gucci Gang" by Lil Pump: Lil Pump: "Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang, Gucci Gang" Uuuuugggghhhh… You just HAD to PUMP those two words inside my head didn't you? That is enough right there for me to not like this one. I find this lousy as all fuck. And yes, Lil Pump is mentally RETARDED. Really. [0.5/5] #80|"Found You" by Kane Brown: Kane, if you didn't want to get drunk or go to this random house party, why did you go there anyway? Oh yeah, that's right, because your boys had been picking you up and dragged you there. Oh, and that's where you believe all the sexy ladies are at. Dude, I'm pretty sure they could be anywhere else you could've chosen, but you wanted to stay there because you found that one girl you are into, who also slept with you. As a song though, eh, it sounds okay. [2.5/5] #73|"I'll Name The Dogs" by Blake Shelton: Just what I expect from a country song like this. Also, what do you mean you'll "name the dogs?" Is that said in another term? Either way, this is okay, too. [2.5/5] #62|"Love So Soft" by Kelly Clarkson: Catchy. [3/5] #44|"Dusk Till Dawn" by Zayn ft. Sia: Those feels I'm getting… at least that's what I would've said if not for that dragged on hook. Zayn & Sia: "♫Baby I'm right HEeEeeEE-EeeeEeeEeeE-EeEeeeEe-eere♫" Yeah. [3/5] #5|"Too Good At Goodbyes" by Sam Smith: Okay, Sam Smith, I can get into this. It's not that bad. [3.5/5] BEST Of The Week: "Let Me Go" by Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso ft. Florida Georgia Line & Watt (This is an unexpectedly great mashup.) Honorable Mention: "Too Good At Goodbyes" by Sam Smith (I find this a solid tune.) Dishonorable Mention: "Pills And Automobiles" by Chris Brown ft. Yo Gotti, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie & Kodak Black (While the chorus is a bit tedious and repetitive, at least the rest is somewhat tolerable.) WORST Of The Week: "Gucci Gang" by Lil Pump (There's just so much repetition here and it makes him sound even more mentally retarded. But at least it's pretty short and doesn't drag on for too long.) Those are my thoughts on the Hot 100 this week. Hope you enjoyed reading this! :)

my ranking from best to worst 1 Let Me Go 5/5 Very Catchy, Good Beat. FGL really surprises me on this, they sound good with this different beat. Hailee is great too and the lyrics are fine. 2 Love So Soft 4/5 Kelly Sound great but the lyrics are generic and the beat is only fine. 3 Dusk Till Dawn 4/5 In my opinion Zayn steals the show he sounds incredible but Sia doesnt do much and the lyrics are decent at best and the beat is meh. 4 Too Good At Goodbyes 4/5 Again great vocals but decent lyrics and decent beat. 5 I'll Name The Dogs 3/5 This is Honey Bee. They're both decent. 6 Pills And Automobiles - 3/5 The hook is catchy, I like the beat but everything else uh... next please. 7 Found You - 2/5 Generic country at its worst. 8 No Limit 1/5 I FUCKING HATE CARDI B WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE THIS BITCH!?!? SHE"S SO ANNOYING AND TERRIBLE! ASAP Rocky is fine and G-Eazy is meh like always and the beat is just boring. 9 Gucci Gang 0/5 WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE LIL PUMP!?!? D Rose and Lil Pump are Lil Pump's two best songs. Gucci Gang is abysmal. (Although D Rose and Lil Pump aren't that good)

Seriously Atlantic records you have Kelly Clarkson & Sia signed on your label and now you signed that "cash me outside" Dr.Phil meme girl, OH COME ON! And really Gucci Mane your working with Jake Paul. Who's your next collab Demi Lovato or Miles Callisto from Miles from Tomorrowland. JAKE PAUL IS ANNOYING LIKE HILLARY CLINTON LEVEL ANNOYING.

The best thing about Pills & Automobiles is that Mr. Johnson's Choir video doing a better version of the song than Chris Brown probably could hope to do. I hope Lil Pump and all these soundcloud teen rappers disappear once and for all.

Good. Because I think he's the guy that helped cause this kind of mess in the first place, regardless of thoughts on the guy's music altogether.

That blake shelton song is cringey af. And why does most newer rappers have "Lil" in their names?
@SidTV247 жыл бұрын
Because they're all really young, fr lil pump is barely out of puberty.

I'd rather more rappers put Big in their name these days over Lil'.

Lil is another term for Jr., but it can be in a non family sort of way. For instance, a person inspired by Elvis Presley could be named Lil Elvis.

You must have forgotten the Kendrick, Kesha, Dua Lipa, The Brothers Osborne, and The Revivalists songs in the Hot 100 right now

I read it as "streaming". Which actually makes sense too.

garner montgomery I'm not a big Kendrick fan since I already heard his themes written years ago and musically he isn't bringing nothing to the table. Listen to Bobby Bland and Ms Dynamite. Beth Hart's Leave The Light On is the new Kesha both in terms of theme and sound. Dua Lipa should be listening to former super model Milla Jovovich's The Divine Comedy which Milla wrote when she was 15. The material is more impressive than anything Lorde or Dua Lipa ever did. Before there was the The Revivalists, there was Maroon 5, The Parlor Mob and Poets of The Fall. Their song isn't bad, but it is retreading old ground while offering nothing new. The Brothers Osborne's song is just a retread of Human by Rag 'N' Bone Man.

OK, I was joking initially because I recognized the hyperbole, but... come on, dude, lighten up. I *have* heard all of those other artists. They're all good, and none of them were original, either. Every musician takes influences from prior artists. Just calling the ones that get popular stale is confusing. I didn't even like Damn much, but ignoring Kendrick's skill and artistic voice reeks of contrarianism. We should encourage all artists to aspire to Beth Hart's emotional honesty, and Kesha's vocal delivery more than sets her apart. Don't know why Dua Lipa should go back to Milla Jovovich if she should be doing her own thing, nor why Lorde had to get dragged into this. I'm sick of that Revivalists track just because it's all they play on the radio where I live, but there's always going to be white dude rock bands singing about old love with catchy hooks, can't knock 'em for that. All of those are minor enough points to just ignore the comment, but the last one baffled me so much I had to say something. Like... even if the songs sounded *anything* alike, "It Ain't My Fault" was released six months *before* "Human".
