This is finally changing but people long didn't realize what kind of impact and artistic power Lana Del Rey has. She literally caused a paradigm shift in pop music and completely redirected a whole genre and forged it with her influence. Her music inspires emotions like no one else's can and feels nostalgic yet timeless and always with top tier lyricism. There was so much spiteful criticism surrounding her but her talent and true art outshone every doubt and established her as one of all time greatest songwriters and a living legend.

Lana del Rey created a mood, a vibe, an aesthetic, a feeling....she basically founded a musical genre. When we listen to someone clearly we can see Lana's influence in the melody and lyrics, and we think "oh, that's so Lana del Rey". I feel something similar when I listen to Olivia's vocals and vibe in some songs and I can say "oh this is so Avril Lavigne". Anyway, there are people who transcend music and create gigantic things. I am so happy for Lana. Proud to say I have been a loyal fan of hers since her first album. It felt like no one I knew really knew her, but she is such a huge part of my life. Her music is the soundtrack of my adulthood, and it has been amazing watching her grow into the amazing woman she is now. We grew up together, in a way. The way her music has grown with her. I can never get enough of her. I am happy you are happier. I am glad to see you finally getting the recognition you very much deserve and it's kind of surreal that you are becoming somewhat mainstream. Maybe that is a stretch but for real though, she currently has more monthly listeners on Spotify than Adele and Beyonce 🤯 but truly, you deserve the attention, as much as you sometimes shy away from it. The amount of songs I love from this woman is incredible. No artist comes close to that number. And unless you go looking yourself, you have absolutely no idea how many albums she has! Many artists are this way to be fair, but the sheer amount of masterpieces on these albums is just amazing. Her fans are fiercely loyal for a reason. We know what the world has been missing out on. OG Lana fans been waiting a long time for any significant recognition for this woman. She’s so brave. It’s rare for an artist to be this effectively Evocative in their own lifetime. Gives us a space for our complicated bruised love for American culture, without flag kissing, iron gripping the past, on-the-nose nostalgia baiting, or chest beating. Just bittersweet, defiant, fragrant, through the eyelashes love. She’s a conduit, like AURORA. I’m gushing lol 🤭
