I'm ARMY and I've only seen ARMY really get mad at Mark 1 time. BTS and the members of BTS as soloists have charted numerous times since then with no issue from ARMY. Most ARMY are fine with people not liking a song by BTS or 1 of the members as long as they are still respectful about it.

IMPO, an unexpectedly shorter as we didn't get the Luke Combs album bomb sadly. BOTW: "Fast Car" (not better than the original, which is a classic, but Luke Combs absolutely nailed this cover and from his best album so far I'll take what I can get). HM (tie): "Memory Lane" and "Dogtooth". WOTW: "CH Y La Pizza" (simply by default, not like it's any different than a lot of other regional Mexican songs that are currently charting on the Hot 100 anyway).

Carly Pearce performed "What He Didn't Do" at the CMT Music Awards on Sunday night, so I could see it getting a boost going forward (maybe not, but it's possible). The person to look out for, though? Kelsea Ballerini. She just released the video for "IF YOU GO DOWN (I'M GOIN' DOWN TOO)" last week...and then performed it at the CMTs surrounded by drag queens, at a time when her home state of Tennessee has just passed an anti-drag bill (although it has been temporarily blocked by a federal judge there)--AND the ceremony was in Austin, Texas, and the Lone Star State has its OWN anti-drag bill that could make her performance on Sunday night illegal in a just a few months. All of this say: Whoever didn't discover through her Rolling Up the Welcome Mat EP/Call Her Daddy interview/SNL performances last month, most likely discovered her on Sunday night taking a VERY brave stand as a female mainstream country star. In my opinion it's because Jimin is one of the more popular members of BTS. Don't get me wrong they are all popular to a certain extent but Jungkook, V, and Jimin are a bit more popular than Jin, Suga, J-Hope, and RM. And how do I put this but I think Jimin's music is the closest so far to what kind of music BTS would typically make as opposed to the others who have been more experimental. Like I know with J-Hope a lot of fans were split on whether they liked his album Jack In the Box as it was different from the music we normally hear from J-Hope or BTS in general. Personally I loved that he made the music he wanted to make instead of following the popular trends. It also helped that Like Crazy had 5 different versions including a fully English version that none of the other BTS solos have had. Again this is just my opinion. I really hope radio gives Like Crazy a chance because I love it.

Congrats Jimin for becoming the first Korean soloist to get a number 1 on the billboard hot 100. And this is RM of BTS 4th number 1 song as songwriter. Jimin did a livestream at like 3 am when he found out the news and talked about all the people congratulating him. He said what he achieved was only because of ARMY and BTS. And the fact he did this little airplay is also an achievement. And I don't want to hear any excuses why Like Crazy isn't played on the radio when there is a fully English version.

But then again the song hasn't been out that long so maybe with time airplay will get better. I can't force people to stream a song that they don't know exists. And maybe fans of other artists should buy music because if they had someone else might've been number 1 instead of Jimin. I mean I don't know what you expect fans of BTS to do, just sit back and not support the artist? BTS has had first week debut radio that's higher than Billie eilish and Olivia Rodrigo combined eg for butter and non of the stans said shit, they celebrated and called others payola users. Regardless, people didn't like the song and it got terrible callouts and was eventually removed from radio but the fans will still cry how the industry uses payola but their fav doesn't.....like be for real... what is with you guys and being victims. And other western artists with the exception of the taylors, and Nickis don't have the level of stan obsession that's fostered in K-pop through parasocial relationships for them to mass buy everything their fave does, in the west most people listen to music cause they like it and it's mainly the general public, they have no time to "mass buy for their fave" just to chart and fall off, that's why Taylor and Nicki sometimes also get dragged for massbuying and free falling. And let's not forget why billboard changed those rules to begin with, it was because of BTS stans massbuying, like when will we be free and billboard is the one to blame not even the stans they are frustrating but it's billboard that fosters this fraudulent nonsense that needs to change, Korean melon charts had the same problem with groups topping charts due to stans and they wiped that shit out real quick and now groups barely chart, unless the gp likes them even when they do its not for long. Billboard can start with not allowing 1727478482 remixes to be added to a song, I have always hated that, just count just 1 version of everything, and control mass buying better, I have seen stans now using the different email tactic and it's just annoying cause didn't billboard ceos think stans will try and use different emails to get through their barriers? An absolutely fantastic lead single for a fantastic deluxe edition! HM (Tie): Eyes Closed. And speaking of awesome lead singles, we have the lead single for Ed’s upcoming - album, and it’s also fantastic. The production is lovely, Ed sounds beautiful, the lyrics are fantastic, and the melody is incredibly catchy and fun. Great song, hopefully the album will be just as good. HM (Tie): Fast Car. Yeah, Mark was right, this cover is great. The production is phenomenal, Luke sounds angelic as always, and the lyrics are fantastic. Great cover from an awesome artist! HM (Tie): The Light. As much as I hate the constant posthumous releases of JuiceWRLD, this is actually pretty good. Jarad sounds great, the lyrics are good, and my god that production slaps! Easily the best posthumous JuiceWRLD song since Cigarettes. HM (Tie): Memory Lane. Another solid Old Dominion song with nice production, lovely vocals from Matthew Ramsey, and awesome lyrics. Last weekend, I saw John Wick: Chapter 4. This is not a "Why is my town's theater's music so amazing?" comment. I want to bring up how when I was there, they played Never Gonna Give You Up. And when that song was playing, a "Guess the Movie" ad showed up on screen, and the movie was Bee Movie. All of this really happened. I don't know what was the second most interesting part. One of the people who work there going "John Wick?!?! I'd expect you to see D&D" to me, getting a Dungeon and Dragons trailer when that was showing on the other side of the theater, or getting a trailer for a family movie before a gritty r-rated movie? Yes, the family movie trailer was the one you think it is. Wait! This was a "Why is my town's theater's music so amazing?" comment.

I didn't have room to say these two things in the comment, so here's two things I want to bring up because I know a lot of people might be wondering. 1. No, I don't plan on talking about every time I go to the movies. It's just that my last couple visits all had interesting moments involving music or the charts. So when/if I see the Mario movie, don't be surprised if I don't talk about it unless it had a good music story. Speaking of which, if any of you are gonna tell me about the thing, I want you to know that I stopped caring about Rotten Tomatoes years ago. 2. Don't let that "John Wick?!?! I'd expect you to see D&D" part trick you into I'm one of those 18+ people where 90% of what they watch is PG-13 or lower movies, and the other 10% of R-Rated movies are music-related movies and John Wick. I watch many r-rated movies. Like I said last month, I watch more than just Kids Choice Awards eligible movies. This wasn't even the first or second r-rated movie I've seen in theaters. I saw Rocketman and Joker in one too.

With BTS songs even though they got lots of sales they were still huge songs outside of that and worthy of being number 1 but Like Crazy is not the most popular song in the US. I didn’t even know it was out until I saw the charts and I haven’t seen anyone even talk about it like I did with Butter and Dynamite. The most popular song isn’t number 1 and that’s a shame and kinda weakens what a number 1 song is worth.

As someone who worked in the US radio industry for years, payola has been controlling the Billboard charts. And, now streaming services are getting in on that game, too. As for your observation that Jimin is the only BTS solo #1 - it shows that mass buying isn't as prevalent, or they would all have #1s. Their fan base is just big. That's it.

Why are u talking about things you haven't looked into? The song has 29 versions available for each fan to buy ofcourse it's gonna chart 1, they all bought 29 versions of it at 69 cents only, you don't even need that many people to produce 200k with that, so mass buying is very prevalent, how long it can go on is the question. Did billboard's "buy only once" rule really work or did it not, we will see truly in wk3-4 if the song lasts that long, we will start seeing how it does by wk 2. I personally give this song 4 weeks on the chart, I will commend the stans if it goes on longer. Also the other members are soon going to be number 1 as well cause now the stans and their company has unlocked the multiple remix rule, wait and see them all debut 1 with 163647 remixes, combined version for Spotify streams etc some fraudulent nonsense and then fall off then chart in 5 weeks. And even if they debut with radio and sales, keep up with their streams because unless they get a genuine GP hit their streams are always going to be mid to trash af.

For the US, one person can buy 24 versions iTunes 5 copies, Amazon 5 copies, Qobuz 5 copies, BTS US store 5 copies, CD singles 4 copies. I have been seeing the army fund accounts encouraging fans to cope all the 24/29 versions( if that's the word) cause he released 5 official versions but you can buy them all sorts of different ways to insanely inflate the sales. This is just facts that have been recorded by armys themselves. They even send screenshot to show they purchased. Like...... Let's not. Am not even being a hater just stating the truth.
