My personal opinion is that if SZA released SOS during the first week of the January, after the Christmas hype, Kill Bill would've gotten the number one debut and it would be great because it would get the number one spot before Flowers debuting at number one after the week Have she released the album during that week, Kill Bill would not be cockblocked by Mariah Carey and her Christmas squad and she would also avoid competing with Flowers for that number one debut

I need to talk about a recent pet peeve of mine: lazy song visualisers. I am referring to those visualisers that are just the album / single cover art, but with some lazy After Effects tweens to make it seem like it’s moving, except it looks cheap and unnatural - for example, the Melanie Martinez visualiser used in this episode. I know they probably just wanted a quick visualiser for Spotify and so, but it looks so bad, I’d rather not have them at all. I already predict this age of tween-heavy visualisers will age incredibly poorly.

Tbh, every artists have stans, not just Melanie and Nicki, cause we have to understand that there are a lot of people exists, and those people doesn't define who we are. If we like a song, we like the song. We don't have to like the artists in order to like their songs cause to me, I always separate the art and the artist. There are a few Melanie songs that I liked, but respectfully speaking, PORTALS is not that good of an album, there are a lot of awful songs, but VOID so far is one of the ok ones, be glad that THE CONTORTIONIST and NYMPHOLOGY didn't debut, or even worse, be glad that we never get a Melanie album bomb.

Apparently, Jimin might have possibly gotten sabotaged by billboard; they added a random rule in the middle of the tracking week regarding sales and it fucked him over...While I'm disappointed by this and am lowkey giving billboard the side eye, armys really need to focus on streams more to prevent things like this from happening [radio appears to be a non-option since they barely play bts/kpop as it is though it should but i digress]. It seems to be picking back up in streams though so maybe it can be a sleeper hit [idk if something that debuted at #1 can be described as a sleeper but yeah] I know Mark gets analytical on songs, but I don't find anything wrong with Melanie Martinez's album [though she's probably not touching Crybaby]; it sounded good for the most part despite some cringey lyrics here and there. The production is the idea of heaven turned into an instrumental, Tyler sounds incredible, the lyrics are poignant, the music video is amazing, and it’s overall an amazing masterpiece of music that’s a strong contender for my end of the year best list. Not the amazing masterpiece that is Sorry Not Sorry, but still a really fun track, with great production, awesome vocals from Tyler and A$AP, and fantastic lyrics. Super hyped for Tyler’s next era! HM (Tie): VOID. A definite improvement over Death, with great production, lovely vocals, and cool lyrics. Not bad, Martinez. HM (Tie): Need A Favor. Yay! Jelly Roll is back! And he brought a solid country song with him! The production is beautiful, Jelly sounds awesome, and the lyrics are great. Super pumped for Whitsitt Chapel! HM (Tie): Fight The Feeling. A nice song with a potent atmosphere, cool vocals, and great lyrics. Not bad, Wave. Not bad. Also, while I was looking up this song, I found another song named Fight The Feeling by Mac Miller (RIP), Kendrick Lamar, Iman Omari. Check that out as well. DM: I Know. The production is poorly mixed, and Kanii sounds generic as hell. A shame, because with a few bits of proper balance and a less nasally and generic voice, this could’ve been legit good. 1) "Last Night" being #1 again is disappointing but not surprising. 2) Considering how massive BTS and its solo members' fanbases are, it's weird how little staying power their songs have. "Like Crazy" collapsed to #45 so fast! It might end up becoming the first #1 song to completely fall off the charts in less than two months since Taylor Swift's "willow" from 2020. 3) This week was pretty underwhelming. I'm not going to lie! 😅 EDIT (4/12/23): I had to edit the second comment since I not only got the song wrong, but also the *year* of its release! I had brought up "TROLLZ", which was not the right song to begin with, and said that it was from 2021. 🤦
