I don't mind the lyrics, but the instrumental is not doing it for me. Also it's 108BPM, which is pretty slow. If it was at least 115BPM or 125BPM, I would give it a listen to. But the instrumental doesn't work for me. It's too weird.

Agree with all these picks. I’m really hoping that True Love doesn’t peak in the Top 20. It fucking sucks. X sounds worse than usual due to the excessive filters, and Kanye only has one verse where he becomes roughly as unlikable as X was on his songs. I heard Potion come up at the end of a radio DJ mix this weekend, thought "ah, that's decently catchy"... and I haven't thought about the song since. I think the problem with releasing Potion and FWB 2 NOW is... well, the timing. Between the release of FWB 1 and now, we've had a whole nu-disco moment (see Dua Lipa herself, The Weeknd's Take My Breath, a number of other pop singers from the past couple years). After all of that, I'm not sure if the public is gonna take to FWB 2 as much as they did the original.

Not only does it sample Memories! by 347aidan, a good song by an underrated artist I really love, but it uses the sample in an interesting way, reinterpreting the “I don’t wanna die young” lyric from being about not fulfilling all your life’s goals to actual death, and Sleepy Hallow rides the beat fantastically. Between this and 2055, Sleepy Hallow is really starting to grow on me. Just an absolutely incredible song that I hope stays on the chart as long as possible! HM (Tie): Potion. A decent vibe, with great production from Calvin Harris, a good Dua Lipa performance, a solid Young Thug guest verse, and cool lyrics. Can’t wait for Funk Wav Bounces Vol 2! HM (Tie): Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God). So this is that Stranger Things S4 song everyone is talking about. I have to say, it’s pretty cool. Also, “BECAUSE POOR LITERACY IS KEWL!” DM (Tie) FNF. No. Absolutely not. This song is garbage. Sludgy beat, irritating vocals, and nothing lyrics. Please let’s not make this a hit. WOTW: True Love. Why? Why can’t we just let X rest in peace already? He may have been a terrible person, but his death was still tragic, and we should let him rest already. Not to mention, Kanye is absolutely phoning it in. This is what people who hated Kanye’s verse on Eazy think he sounded like on that song. Thus I have ranked 1979, 1978 and 1977 YEs along with getting 1976 70% done and also got 1973 and, strangely, 1962 YE rankings done. 3. You see, the reason why Take My Hand got a huge boost is because Billboard has a rule that if a country artist has a Year-End hit, than they must have another. Even if it takes two decades to happen like what happened with Billy Ray Cyrus. If it weren't for the fact that the country charts allowed The Git Up, then Blanco Brown would've never touched the charts again with the most notable thing he did being tie-in songs to family movies. This is also why we got second hits out of Gabby Barrett and Wa- Fuck this Billboard rule. I hate it so much.

Next week predictions/thoughts: Post Malone album bomb, of course. Might see 10 Things I Hate About You by Leah Kate debut next week. I shall also warn y'all that she's teasing another song called Twinkle Twinkle Little Bitch that's already being heavily made fun of on TikTok, so that shall be a fun song to cover if it ends up charting (whenever it does). Running Up That Hill goes up to number 2, or really anywhere in the top 5. Could even hit number 1 which will be a massive record breaker. How has Jiggle Jiggle not charted? So far it has only charted in New Zealand, but oddly not in the UK which is weird since that's where the DJ duo is from and novelty songs tend to do well on the UK charts. Terrible song btw, but just weird it hasn't charted anywhere else. Speaking of which, both Jiggle Jiggle and About Damn Time are massive hits on TikTok, as well as Until I Found You (my BOTW tbh, hope that one sticks around).
