Should I be surprised anymore? Drake’s hypocrisy has been around for years now that it just feels like a parody. It’s saddening to think that this what our audience enjoys today despite the aggressively misogynistic writing from both artists. How far will Drake go will these album bombs? He’s at the point where he can release anything and it’ll chart. It’s a male power fantasy achieved. I’m only glad that Anti-Hero is still at #1 just to show that people still prefer more intriguing music that this LOW QUALITY TRASH from an artist who has peaked 6 years ago.

Joji has had much better songs though) *HM:* 3AM On Glenwood (An introspective song from 21 which is by far one of the few good songs on the album) *HM2:* Rich Flex (The first half has Drake once again not giving a shit but the second half is much better. Overall a fine banger) *DM (tie):* BackOutsideBoyz/Jumbotron Shit Poppin (A bunch of terrible songs from a somewhat decent at best album) *WOTW (allcaps):* Circo Loco (Screw everything about this song from the lazily sampled production and the misogynistic lyrics. Botw: Middle Of The Ocean-Is clear that it tries to be the Tuscan Leather of the album from the structure, content to the Dipset influence, but it worked a decade ago and still does HM: More M's - it kinda reminds me of 2016 trap and I'm hero for it DM: Circo Loco, while I'm not invested in the Megan drama I think the worst part is the bad Daft Punk sample Wotw: Hours In Silence-this track is super boring, it feels like it lasted twice the lenght of it

Last week, I said that in a month with Lil Baby and Taylor Swift albums and Rihanna's return, the only music-related event from October that mattered was me watching Straight Outta Compton for the first time because Epic Rap Battles of History shitted the bed thanks to Raid Shadow Legends. I already have a similar story with this month, because that Drake album and the Grammy nominations came out, and yet the only music-related events from November that mattered to me are that Weird Al movie and that musical episode of Zootopia+. I should add that I haven't listened to any song from that Drake album, but I good feeling that Now You Know and Big Time are better than any of them.

In my opinion, compared to a decade ago anyways… it feels to me like its harder for lesser popular acts to have songs debut unless they mega blow up. 50-100 seems like songs that havent fallen off yet but also hasnt charted long enough now and also album bomb positions. An all-caps WORST/BEST OF THE WEEK basically works the same way as The Exceptional Tier with Diamond Axe Studios: not only must the song be really good/bad, but it must be either musically transcendant/an incompetent disaster or it has a deep, resonating message/promotes ideas and attitudes so noxious it actively makes the surrounding culture worse. The only way there would have been an allcaps BOTW or a WOTW if acts like Run The Jewels or Sam Hunt would've gotten album bombs for RTJ4 or Southside respectively.

If yall heard the complete butchering One More Time and the completely unwarranted potshots taken at Megan Thee Stallion, you know why this is here) DHM (Honestly, the rest of the album could have gotten this spot, but these were the worst of the worst for me): BackOutsideBoyz (Drake seemed to be copying a lot of rappers on this album, and this song happens to be his Lil Baby impression)/Jumbotron Sh*t Poppin (the Young Thug impression here is laughably bad)/ Privileged Rappers (Pretty ironic title coming from YOU, Drake)/Major Distribution (Actually had a pretty decent piano line in the beginning before turning it into absolute crap in the second half)/Broke Boys (The production and especially mixing on this song in the first half just sounds like complete and utter dogshit. Song recommendations: AHHHH! by Fitz And The Tantrums: So Fitz And The Tantrums released their new album, Let Yourself Free. It’s pretty solid, and AHHHH! is my favorite track off it. The production is awesome, Fitz sounds fantastic, the lyrics are sweet, and the crowd vocals friggin slap!!!! Contact Your Local Liquidator by Grim Salvo: This song is so friggin good. The production is catchy, the rapping is incredible, and the lyrics are clever. A fantastic tune from a fantastic album. High Up by Half·Alive: Not as good as Did I Make You Up, but still a solid vibe, with solid production, lovely vocals from Josh Taylor, and cool lyrics. Can’t wait for Conditions of a Punk! Good In Me by Andy Grammer: A really solid track, with nice production, lovely vocals from Grammer, and beautiful lyrics. Very nice song. Toy Story by Token: Another awesome Token banger, with cool production, great rapping from Token, and clever lyrics. Boycycle by Salvatore Ganacci and Sébastien Tellier: A cool vibe, with nice production, solid vocals, and a weird as hell music video. Can’t wait for SG’s album on the 25th! Loki by Ekoh: Cool production based on a solid sample of the Loki theme, cool rapping from Ekoh, and pretty good lyrics. Good banger all around. Fighter by Tom MacDonald: Look, I know you might be turned off because it’s Tom MacDonald, but Fighter is a legit really good song. The production is incredible, Tom sounds fantastic, and the lyrics don’t have any political garbage, and are incredibly motivational and beautiful. Give it a chance, it’s really cool. The Ending by BROCKHAMPTON: A really cool vibe with awesome production, incredible vocals, and great lyrics. I’m incredibly excited for The Family, but also sad given it’ll be the end of BROCKHAMPTON. But hopefully we get a good last final hurrah! Wake Up by Kowloon: An absolute vibe with beautiful production, great vocals, nice lyrics, and an incredible music video.
