The Legend ...... I grew up watching Mr. Dance on TNN every Saturday morning. Made my childhood that much better. I can recognize that voice anywhere lol. Thanks for many years of good fishing shows and great memories. Me my brother and my best friend that lived a block away would all sit on the couch and watch together then we'd argue who was gonna catch the biggest fish next fishing trip lol. Good ole days.

The part about reeling while the fish is pulling drag just hit home with me. Makes total sense and I feel like I should have realized that.

Like most fishermen, I have huge variety of lures - every size, shape, and color. I sometimes wonder if the fish look at the bizarre baits I use and think, "Look what this guy thinks we eat!"

Yes Bill, You do not need 20 pound line to catch big fish, the trick is playing the fish, I once caught a 14 pound fish on 4 lbs test line because I played the fish.

You can see your years of experience when that fish gets to the boat. You take your time, not in a hurry. Some of us younger guys get way to excited and lift him straight in the boat for fear we'll lose our catch! lol.
