If you’d like to do a 15-minute one-on-one consultation, drop me an email at askbillhartman at gmail. Put 15 minute consultation in the subject line, so I don’t delete it. Include your question in the email.
Today’s Q&A is with Jordan who is a regular on the Coffee ’n’ Coaches Conference Calls every Thursday morning.
He wanted to clarify some foundational concepts in regard to the Narrow ISA archetype.
We expanded this to breakdown one of the squat activities that I use to recapture the early propulsive representation in the pelvis with a heels-elevated squat.
If you have questions regarding the early vs. late representations of external rotation in the pelvis, this is a great Q&A for you.

I had to re-watch this a few times, and every time I watched it again, I am getting more insight into the narrow's first move. This should be included as part of the model 101 course at the uhp network! A classic for sure in my book, as a newbie to Bill's model.

This is very deep. I love it, so sir Bill, in other words, a squat is reverse gait. If we look at gait as sequencial (early mid late). Just for simplicity purposes. In a squat however we start from late(concentric orientation of muscles above the level of the trochancter), mid, then early where those muscles above the trochanter have to let go to allow the pelvic diaphragm to descend?
