This Video is so simple, yet so deep. It’s about a love, a love so strong you don’t understand it. A toxic, controlling love that deep down you know is bad, yet have come to love and crave. This is evident in the stages of the video stage 1- calm - she is speaking about her strong love too this person. Stage 2- chaos - when things get a little crazy, perhaps a fight, and it throws you for a loop. Stage 3 - awareness - you start to see the patters “your so full of shit” stage 4 - withdrawal - something pulls you back and makes you forget about the bad (hence her beings dragged up the wall and saying she loved him again stage 5 - relapse - you see that Billie is more reserved in the way she sings and acts as if she doesn’t believe what she is saying. “ I’ll love you till the day that I die” but she is almost forcing herself to believe it, hence the controlling aspect of this love dragging her around. So so profound and deep, yet such a simple cheery song. Quite a juxtaposition. This is artistry at its finest
