I believe they use a Neumann TLM 103 - not the 102. They sound different.

And this, is the perfect example explaining to thicken headed novice producers and artist that you don’t need a gigantic studio with $700,000 worth of studio equipment just to record and mix an album. You can simply record and produce an album at home with equipment with less than $2,000! Hopsin also explains that.

I love gear that helps bring about immediacy of getting ideas across, like Finn suggested. Always found a DAW w/ mouse and KB as a detriment to that approach though, at least for the early idea phase. My ideals are Elektron Octatrack, MD UW+, A4, Synthstrom Deluge, and iPad Pro running Drambo and various synth/FX plugins = all helps you get incredibly intimate with the sounds - far more inspiring than starting on a blank canvas in the box, imo.

Very informative but i am confused in 1 things i was supposed to purchase apollo twin audio interface so x16 is also same or similar to Apollo twin audio why this is so expensive?

Well they used this gear to produce i.e - compose and record. Mixing and mastering were done in million dollar studios with big names in the industry like Rob Kinelski which produced singers like Beyoncé and John Greenham as the mastering engineer

Garage Band... a 2013 MacBook... This all falls under studio gear You can't think creative if you can't be creative. Todays studio gear and technology (made affordable) made it possible for Finneas and Billie to do what they do. If they had to make their music in a time like the 80's, they would be screwed! Finneas depends on the gear of today to be creative, without it there would be no bedroom studio setup, no bedroom producer... you wouldn't even know Finneas name!
