I'm 68 and went to see Billie in concert [my first one in about 45 years] in St. Paul, Mn on March 15, 2022, at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN - it was an awesome experience - Billie gives her all. I also heard that Billie was flat on that note - which is unusual, since she is generally pitch perfect, but the way you interpreted that was excellent - even to Billie, at that moment, it was irrelevant. Finneas is her 4 1/2 yr older brother on guitar and Andrew Marshall has been her drummer for about 4 years (I believe). Billie will turn 21, on Dec. 18, 2022. P.S. I believe Billie's versatility is phenomenal - if you're interested, her cover of Peggy Lee's "FEVER" at the Hollywood Bowl on July 27, 2022 is wonderful, and she sings a duet with Debbie Harry (from Blondie) on Peggy Lee's "Is That All There is?" - a older star and a younger star engaging Peggy Lee & Frank Sinatra fans. You mentioned GREEN DAY - Rolling Stone has a segment of "Musicians on Musicians: Billie Joe Armstrong and Billie Eilish" from Oct. 29, 2019 [this is also on you tube]

Out of all the artists I have seen live, pearl jam, rhcp, pink, Ed, Bruno and many more. This chick engaged and interacted with us so many times, and we loved loved it. I second the opinion that you need to watch her performance of this some at the 2022 Grammys. I would also suggest watching her performance of the Bond theme song she and Finneas wrote, No Time to Die, live from the 2020 Brit Awards. It's the performance where she proved everyone wrong by proving she can belt when she wants to. And one last live one, the song I Love You live from the Greek Theater. All 3 performances are uploaded to her actual KZbin channel so they're super easy to find.

The choice to sing that note flat for me is a very clear indication of storytelling, she’s mocking the person who said they’re soOo misunderstood. She does this more deliberately in the album version of “didn’t change my number” when she sings “and your best friend too”, and this isn’t really in the album version of the song, but in this performance especially when you look at her expression, she’s almost giving that flat note TO this other person. That’s why I appreciate it
