Great reaction. First time finding your channel; I will be checking out more. FYI- the cute little frog appears to be a Black African frog, also called an avocado frog. (Another fan shared that info in another reaction.) So some fans also feel the song can be interpreted as Billie moving on from her past when she was struggling with depression (the darker gloomier landscape) to the brighter, happier place she is now. The growing plants representing personal growth too. Even the frog jumping away because I feel she is ready to move past the whole avocado thing from when she was 13 and 14 (her first instagram account name.) She has released a live version of My Future that is great too. It includes a cameo of her adopted pit bull Shark!

@@NolansNonsense Yes, he's into lighting and stage prep when he's not doing carpentry work. Yeah he diligently cleans all the surfaces she dances on, including any rain water or stuff fans throw on stage. RR is my fav venue, btw.

I did hear that version recently! I like it in a completely different way. Billie's version seems more innocently excited to get to know her future self. Kind of a teenager's understanding and hopefulness of the future. It's more pure. While Miley's seemed like an adult's understanding of letting go of the past, and pushing forward to a new stage of life, eager to prove to herself that she has changed. I know Miley's voice isn't for everyone, but I grew up with her, so I've always loved her. Billie's is more beautiful, clearly, but I think that's the point of Miley's rendition: it's rough, raspy, and sexy.
