Her Oscars performance of What Was I Made For is soooo good and it has a full live orchestra accompaniment which is insane, she ended up winning her second Oscar for that song! For recordings Lunch is probably a good place to start, it has some cool instrumentation and a fun video as well. I think it shows the more upbeat, poppy side of some of her music!

Renegade here. Also a huge Billie , and Finneas, fan. I actually became a fan of them as people before I realized that she is FIRE. Incredibly real and authentic without an ounce of pretentiousness. Up until this tour “ The band” consisted of Finneas ( guitar, bass, piano/ keyboard, synth, ) and their drummer ( Andrew Marshall - also here). They recorded Billie’s EP Don’t Smile At Me and her first album in his bedroom and everything else in his home studio. Both were home schooled , largely by their parents , Thank G-d - or else they could have been forced into desks for 6-7 hours a day , killing their innate musical abilities. ( Mom and Dad were scale actors and mom is a musician as well, who did all sorts of odd jobs and side gigs . They realized with Finneas that traditional school wasn’t going to be a good fit with him and they just continued it with Billie. They would trade their skill set for “ singing lessons, dance classes ( Billie’s first love until injury put an end to it) Where to begin?? The beginning. With Ocean Eyes. Written by Finneas for his band The Slightlys but he hated how he sounded singing it so he asked Billie ( then 13!) if she wanted to sing it. She did, uploaded it to SoundCloud and 💥. There are lots of videos of the two of them singing with nothing but a guitar or piano. They cover a handful of songs as well and they make them spectacularly their own ( Bad, End Of The World, You Don’t Get Me High Anymore). I’m already subbed but I’m THRILLED TO GO ON THIS RIDE ( along with the Ren Ride).

Hey Boiz! I'm a full fledged RENegade & so grateful I found ur channel when u did ur Kujo beat down reaction, it was priceless! I immediately subscribed but what I was going to say is prior to me discovering REN & of course CHINCHILLA. Billie eilish was one of top artists that I listened to (I still do but she's been knocked down in my playlist) I actually found her quite a long time ago before many people did, she blew up after her second album but I'm talking back when she was only 13 & recorded ocean eyes. That was because her brother, Finneas, initially wrote the song for his band at that time but realized she needed to do it, since he clearly saw her immense talent! Finneas is also one of my top solo artists he has amazing talents.. he produces all of her songs they do them together it's beautiful to watch their BTS stuff. Anyways I am very happy that you are reacting to her and that you are solid renegades yourselves! I don't know if you have a song by her that you are planning to do next but please go back instead of starting in the middle of the book LOL! You definitely have to go through her journey to watch or hear her grow and listen to her lyrics Just like REN cuz she writes all of her own stuff with Finneas. I'm sure someone will recommend something great by Billie but I am asking you to in addition to that PLEASE react to Finneas on his own. I have been a fan of Billie for 8 years since she was 15 y/o, she saved my life and still does. She was and still is here for me when no one else is, Billie and her voice heal the scars she never made. I still haven't had the chance to see or meet her yet and its my dream. She is my role model, she is a sweet and amazing person. Im glad you are reacting to her and im here to stay for your reactions

Her videos are great too- she has been directing them since she was about 17. My favourite from the current album is Lunch, but the best are mostly older. Try any of these- You Should See Me in a Crown, When the Party's Over, Everything I Wanted, NDA, Bury A Friend. Oh and the dance version of the song that made her famous: Ocean Eyes.

Then the MVs from her latest album to know how she sounds on record: Lunch, Chihiro, and Birds of a Feather. Also, her performance of What Was I Made For at the Oscars. That's the huge standout this year (they won the Oscar)

It was actually written by Finneas for HIS band back when she was 13. They didn’t like how it sounded so they had Billie sing it. The song we listen to now (the recording) is the actual recording they did when she was 13. 😊
