Melancholic but hopeful. This is the way I'd describe this hauntingly beautiful song by Billie Eilish. "I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that" We've all been in a position where sometimes, the only option is to drink the toxic drink. Where the best thing to do is to leave, but it's also the hardest thing to do. This song expresses that feeling so well, and the raw emotion of the melody and harmonies is captured through the piano. I hope you enjoy the beautiful performance by J Goodwin, he has more covers here: kzbin.info/door/m2PxeFuz1jSxGU2rEWap8g

It’s this song. I don’t know what it is. It’s so simple and yet so powerful and moving. It’s this song that completely changed my whole perspective of Billie Eilish. I’ll admit. I disregarded her when I first heard of her a few years back. Then I listened to Ocean Eyes and thought “okay this Is actually pretty good” Then I watched this song performed live on Howard Stern. Everything changed.. I couldn’t believe what I was listening too. It was so melodic, so haunting and yet so so soooo beautiful. It brought me to tears and that’s when I realized we’re witnessing something special. Her and her brother aren’t just some typical “pop” artists. Their really genuine and found a way to rise to the top without the help of any major label. They wrote and recorded all their songs from the studio they have setup in their bedroom from the their childhood home. Absolutely amazing. A true talent and musical gift that I feel is in the very very beginning stages of their career. She’s 18. Imagine what she’s gonna accomplish from here on.

Why don't you cover a rock or metal song? Like One Last Breath, It's My Life, or even Comfortably Numb? Would be really cool to see how you pull it off.
