So cool, first time I saw classical ballet live I was amazed how loud some of their landings were. Suddenly the fact these incredibly graceful supernatural people are Real People who are landing hard on the floor came home to me. Could have taken you out of it, but actually brought home how insane the actual skill is, made it real :) like this!

I feel like hers was super underrated. She seemed so angry at the world for letting her go through that, stomping at the ground as if it would give the answers to all of her questions if she tried hard enough, the frustration of whoever hurt her getting away with it, the clawing and tearing at the ground and the shouts and screams that rung through the air with her performance really resonated with me. And of course, we can’t forget her finding solace in her friend being right there the entire time, ready to welcome her with open arms. It makes me really want to pick up dancing again; not just to look good or anything like that, just to express how I feel for once. Sure, I can draw, but that only releases so much tension. The amount of tension that has built up in me needs some sort of release like this.

7:24 when their dancing together in that moment, feels like they’ve summed up the meaning behind the interest of billies song. it’s as if their dancing, blinding you with the force of their own destruction and ruination complex. while wanting to leave, you find yourself not being able to escape a mind numbing toll of darkness cause it’s the only thing you know how to do which is being used. it’s kind of a beautiful tragedy yet so cataclysmic. it’s lovely how heartbreak intertwines with the rhythm of emotions carried out by the words in which they expressed through dancing. anyway sorry this is like one of my favorite dances by far n sorry for going in a bit to deep :)

I have watched the dancers at 5:19 now about 4 times and im resisting watching it again now. The way the emotions were conveyed through their dance was absolutely captivating. Man this piece really hit me. This was crazy expressive and raw. I think the couples version was really something...the roles were performed so well--helpless, vulnerable girl; manipulative, deceiving guy. The second couple was outstanding.
