MJ was 24 years old when he wrote this angry POP song in 1982 about Billie Jean. As MJ's most successful single, it is frightening for me to read in the comments in over 100 reaction videos that many do not know the lyrics, do not grasp the topic. Everyone remembers the "beat" that "Hiiiii", "Ooo" and his dance moves didn't really listen to. In her jasszy cover Angelina tells the story about the Billie Jean from her point of view without changing the text. Only through Angelina's arrangement, interpretation and empathy do many people hear and understand the story about the sad story of BillieJean. 💯 AJ 💯

Yes a Master Storyteller revealing the true message of the song. Revealing what was not apparent or even noticed in the original. Storyteller is part of her signature just as Jazz is. Well said. 👣

Hello, Jesse. I love, love, love this. I go weekly to her channel and click this to hear it. 14 years old here. I love that purple "baby." She sang this for "Sugarfoot" Moffett, formerly Michael Jackson's drummer. Playful is a good word. Thank you for a fine reaction to one of top 5 favorites. The whole color thing is meant to honor Michael Jackson, and I hear him in some of the vocals. But like you, I like how this has freshened the song. Grandma Ellen, ho-ho-ho..... 💜😇

Fearless. That is Angelina Jordan. The most Iconic songs by the most Iconic artists she takes them on and transforms them into a totally new take on an old classic. Here Angelina the Queen of Jazz taking on the King of Pop & giving us a whole new take. Yes, Angelina has her own style. Plenty of the biggest artists in music history influenced Angelina but she is her own Artist with her own "signature". Anyone familiar with Angelina will recognize her voice within a split second. She is unlike anyone before her and I don't think we will have anyone as unique as Angelina going forward, Just as Michael was Michael, Elvis was Elvis. Whitney was Whitney. Amy was Amy Winehouse. All with there own unique style and 'Signature' There will be no one who can duplicate their voice or what they were or they created. And Angelina is creating as Great a Legacy as anyone of them and perhaps even more. She is reintroducing Jazz Angelina's way to a world that had lost interest in. She is one of a kind. An artist kissed by God, the universe, history. Take your pick. All your comments were right on the mark. You're doing a great job promoting and spreading awareness of this unique talent. Keep em coming. ♥👣...👣

You are exactly right, Angelina never sings a song exactly the same way twice. That's great artistically & I love that about Angelina, but it's a nightmare when trying to lip sync for a music video. She has really improved that skill here.

Yes Jesse, check out "Billie Jean" yellow yellow, and purple and red... I've been listening to her for more than two years now, daily more or less, and I never get tired of her voice... 💗 btw., will you do an AnnenMayKantereit reaction at some point? Great band from Zimbabwe - no, sorry, just your neighbors... :) As for you not having to search, here's a link again: AnnenMayKantereit - Ich geh heut nicht mehr tanzen (Proberaum Session) kzbin.info/www/bejne/faacgKyYrduko6s - Don't know if it's the same one I gave you some days ago, but it's my favorite currently... :) Have a nice evening and enjoy it... And also btw, yesterday I discovered a really amazing new artist who is already in my list of the most beautifully unique female voices on the planet, as there are in the first row: Diana Ankudinova, Angelina, Haley, AiNA THE END, Sohyang and Lara Fabian... and now Debbii Dawson. She's 26, from Indian heritage (family of musicians) but lives in the US. She plays multiple instruments (piano and guitar for sure, I guess more...), but most of all she has a very beautiful and interesting voice and already a very well defined artistic personality... like the others I mentioned above and highly appreciate Debbii is one of those voices you'll instantly recognize when you hear them... I don't want to compare, but just to give you an idea (just like Angelina is being mentioned in a row with Amy, Billie, Etta or Ella...) I'd say Dolly Parton, Karen Carpenter and Aurora... Debbii was on AGT in '22 but didn't make it past the auditions (idiots!), her song was "Dancing Queen" by ABBA in a way you never heard it before, but she has some very beautiful stuff on her own channel as well... most reactions I saw were on Dancing Queen, but I prefer e.g. her versions of At Last or Songbird, both on her channel, both quite short, one with guitar, one with piano, in total 4 min. so you might consider a double reaction, the get a broader impression of her artistry... Over and out, peace and love from Bavaria 💗

Thanks for these amazing comments! I think Debbii i’ve seen pass by in thumbnails on other channels. Still blank on here though. Definitely making a note. The german band/artist i can cleary add as-well! So far had great suggestions. Have “creep” of Reinhart recordeed haha crazy cover!

Oh no, the song police are here. Remind me, how many covers of untouchable songs did Michael do? And how much experience did he have about what those songs are talking about at the ripe old age of 12, 13, or 14? There was, to name only a few, no need to cover "Ain't No Sunshine" or "My Girl". Those songs are perfect as they are. But I guess facts don't fit your simple-minded narrative. Then again, what can you expect from a musically handicapped negativist?
