When I was in third grade (1998) my brother, father and I went to a Savage Garden concert. It was my first concert and Billie Myers was the opening act. As she was singing this song it started raining! She walked out into the aisles to the nosebleeds (where we were) and we got to see her up close! It was so cool and the best concert I’ve ever been to. We were so excited. 3 years after that, my brother passed away from cancer at age 21. This was played at his funeral. 22 years later and this song still chokes me up. It’s tied to one of the happiest times of my life and one of the saddest. Love you Soren, rest easy big brother.

this song hits me in so many ways. I was very young when I first heard this on the radio, had no idea what it meant, just liked the tune as a kid. listening to the lyrics now as an adult, and just getting out of a relationship where I clearly cared more than the other person, with that nostalgia added to it, it just crushes me. really glad to have found this again right now. just hits that exact right nerve.

I love music. I had totallly forgot about this song, which was fairly popular when I was around 13-14. Decided to listen to some 90's/2000's alternative this morning. Came across the song Glycerine by Bush, and wanted to look up who that song was written about because I had forgotten. Only to learn that a famous rock producer names Desmond Child heard the song Glycerine and thought he was saying "kiss the rain". Once he learned he was actually saying glycerine he decided to write a song called kiss the rain, and its the song we all grew to love. Which is what brought me here. lol I just love how music is created and wanted to randomly share that with whoever happened to read this! Have a wonderful, positive and safe day/night!

Hello Can you hear me Am I getting through to you Hello Is it late there Is there laughter on the line Are you sure you're there alone 'Cause I'm Trying to explain Something's wrong You just don't sound the same Why don't you Go outside Kiss the rain Whenever you need me Kiss the rain Whenever I'm gone too long If your lips feel lonely and thirsty Kiss the rain And wait for the dawn Keep in mind We're under the same sky And the night's As empty for me as for you If you feel You can't wait till morning Kiss the rain Kiss the rain Kiss the rain Hello Do you miss me I hear you say you do But not the way I'm missing you What's new How's the weather Is it stormy where you are You sound so close but it feels like you're so far Oh would it mean anything If you knew What I'm left imagining In my mind Would you go Kiss the rain As you fall Over me Think of me Think of me Think of me Only me Kiss the rain Whenever you need me Kiss the rain Whenever I'm gone too long If your lips Feel hungry and tempted Kiss the rain And wait for the dawn Keep in mind We're under the same sky And the night's As empty for me as for you If you feel you can't wait till morning Kiss the rain Can you hear me

My High-school sweetheart,soul mate, and best friend passed away back in 2017. Today would have been our 27th year anniversary. She used to love this song, so today I'm remembering her. It's ironic that it's also raining outside as I type this. I miss and love you Cassie.

Had forgotten about this song, & out of nowhere it came on my playlist. This Saturday 6/15/19 will mark 6 months since my husband passed away. He loved the rain so much, while I was the opposite. I'm slowly starting to see the beauty in a cloudy, rainy day. Miss you love.

todays standards??? lol you mean lack of standards!
@ktkalicka8 жыл бұрын
+Darren Davenport Lol...what I meant was that today's standards require sound to be more crisp, more modern sounding than it was in the nineties...On a technical level I mean...And this song remains "in", it needs maybe just an HD remastering but definitely holds its place melody-wise. But yes, in general, nowadays songs this good are rare.

A classic tune from the good ole '90s! This particular tune is so heartwarming and feel all nostalgic to hear it on a rainy cold night 👌💥 The melody and the mtv seems like just being produced yesterday despite several decades has been leaving us - the era was filled with timeless song, fantastic vocals, incredible lyrics and on top of it is the versatility of genres to listen about on radio, every single week! I remember paying attentions to charts, waiting for the release day, fanzine, cut out clips from newspapers, posters in magazines....can't wait till 'Rick Dees chart' comes on air! Nowadays, things looks so much easier, but the quality has been degrade drastically. Oh, the irony! Thanks for nice teenage years back then - and here is me contemplating... cherishing the era that would never going to be ever happening again. Everything was simpler

The 90's in every way, music, culture, politics, and society in general was the best. The economy was great, there was no such thing as ISIS, peace prevailed across the face of the planet, and did I mention the music was great. I still remember rolling backing the sun roof of my 1997 Pontiac Sunfire (brand new off the dealer lot in 1996) and blasting down the highway and songs just like this playing. If I could only have those years back...
