He got the boom of the 80s and 90s thanks very much. What a major trader you had to be back then to realise so many major companies today that were going through exceptional growth back then would end up booming in the next 10-20 years lol.

Gabelli was not rich growing up. I believe that his journey from golf caddy and shoeshine boy in his youth to billionaire is rather instructive. Some smart kid can watch this and mimic what Mario did.

The guy is a legend, and has proven his worth time and time again. His story needs to be documented and told from as many angles as possible. I also happen to think most people nowadays benefit from learning more about history. How was the stock market and worldview back then, etc. Gives us perspective on what's happening now. That said, I do think there's more history in this video/interview, than the "Billionaire Advice: 17 Stock Ideas And Life Lessons" video title implies.
