It's good to learn a second language (usually English because it's spoken in a lot of places), but not an absolute must if English is your first language. The only reasons for an English speaker to learn a second language would be if they wanted to, or if they were going to live in a country where English wasn't the first spoken language. Yep. On my server, it's a seller's market all the way down to the raw, gathered materials. So, the best way I've found to make Gil in the early levels is to mass gather a couple hundred raw materials than are being price gouged (and actually bought often), save butch for your own stash to craft from, then list the rest on the Market Board at the same price as the others, but instead of selling stacks of 99 at a time, try stacks of 25 or so, so you still maintain the same ridiculous margins as the others, but you appear more favorable since your buyers don't have to buy in quick as much bulk, especially if they only need 1 item for a quest.

Yea pretty much this concept can be applied to be any gear set that is used whilst persons level. In my opinion these items will always be profitable (mileage will vary depending on server): 1. Crafter Sets (especially those at breaking points ie. lvl 51set, 61 set, 71 set) 2. Crafter leve turn ins (google what are the leve turn ins for a particular crafter and craft those). 3. Primal Weapons 4. Minions and Bardings 5. And any current starred craft (prices will drop as time goes by, but pots and bis food, will always sell) There are other stuff like gardening and some unique glam pieces that can only be made from treasure map drops are also really good for making Gil

Useful, I'll add this to my money making. Another overlooked thing for making a nice markup: Items that are needed for guildleves. These were even better before Ishgard restoration but a lot of people still trade in HQ leve items to power level their crafts so they tend to be in demand. I whip those up whenever I have the mats on hand since I desynth dungeon gear and do treasure maps a lot. Also: Savage Ravana is soloable so try your hand at farming him for the hive wing to make his weapons which look awesome and are sure to catch the eye of buyers.

I've been making bank on metal flipping. Finding ores that are posted cheap, making them into nuggets and bars and posting them. Nothing crazy like what you make, but 5.3mil in 2 days isnt too shabby for a newer player. It cost me about 100k to get it going, now I'm buying and flipping materials nonstop. Learning prices and CHECKING SALE HISTORY is a must.

@@segartner1 pretty self explanatory. Just find out what Nuggets/Ingots are selling for a decent price on your server and try to find a good price on ores by server hopping to craft said materials. For example Electrum/Rose gold/ Aurum Regis are used for a lot of recipes so on my server they're always around 1-1.8kgil each 2-3k HQ (Aurum Regis like 1-3kNQ 3-5k HQ on my server last time I checked). You also dont want to just flat out put a Stack of 99, stick with like 5-10. Also worth noting, you can also just buy the nugget/ingot outright if you find a Really good price on a server compared to what they sell on yours. Just be aware that the market tends to crash every couple hours so if they crash (at least on my server) just be patient to put your stuff on the MB if you want to sell something you bought for cheap for a good price.

I find that HQ levemete items sell pretty well and quickly. Especially triple deliveries ones. I usually go for the level 72 and 78. Materials aren't that cheap sometimes, so I just move for another jobs. You can definitely craft them with macros if you have the current crafted gear, no melds needed.

This doesn't work on my server and larger servers, I think. The HQ prices of those items are already so incredibly low, usually 10k-20k and people constantly undercutting.

It’s not working so much on my server either (Phoenix). A lot of items are just sitting there, not being bought. When you look at market history it’s taking a month for 20 items to be sold. Facet gear is still selling but not at a very high profit and same for 480 gear. I think that the lull between patches has had a huge affect on prices too. It would be more interesting to see what happens when 5.3 rolls out to try this method.

@@Hooray4nay Prices on facet/480 have definitely been hit by the extended period between patch. Added to it that prices tend to go down during weekends/holidays on my server, confinement also made the same price crash happen, but since it happened on such a long period of time, prices never recovered afterwards, unlike when weekends/holidays end. And as 480/facet gear market gets worse and worse, a portion of the crafters are going to fall back on other options than these, wich may lead to the resulting stagnation of those other markets too, because, since they're not as fluid as the endgame gear market, even a small amount of additional seller in these can be enough to make them "overflow" and create the stagnation that leads to price drop.

About the materia values on NQ/HQ equipment: The maximum value of any given stat stays the same between the two versions, the HQ one will only be closer to it due to having more stats. Say if an NQ chest piece has 71/110 craftsmanship, the HQ one will have something like 86/110. You can't exceed the maximum whether it's NQ or HQ with materia, but the maximum will be easier/possible to reach.

I'm losing my mind finding a consistent gil maker on my server, HQ Level 80 Gear > Firmament Scrips > Raid potions and food > Quest Materials all of these methods are too cheap to make a profit worth even thinking about. The best way to make gil is to figure out what is selling well and which can be gathered or made easily without spending a lot of gil on ingredients. No matter what that is today, it will be something different in a few days. A lot of people seem to be playing as sprouts these days, whether they are actually new players or veterans playing through again with a new character does not matter. They both need decent gear to level efficiently, so making either lvl 20-30 HQ gear with materia attached could prove profitable considering how easily and cheaply the materials can be acquired and how easily the crafts can be completed. Alternatively you can crank out hundreds of lvl 30-50 HQ materials--people leveling crafting will snap them up. The other thing that people will always buy are the gathering and crafting leve turn-ins.

The thing with the market is... you have to take the time in consideration. Sometimes when it's on the MB in the morning, price it decent. Then in the afternoon... MB just crashes. More ppl online, more price-dumping. That's what I feel tbh. i'm on Phoenix and i see this everyday. I put stuff in the morning and if they don't sell, i have to hope, that it will sell next day or i have to adjust the price. Harsh reality. Although I will look into the stuff you said in your video. Also after your video, I expect the MB to crash in some way. Although I used Diadem and Ishgard Restoration for leveling I feel like everyone can get through it to lvl80 in a very short amount of time. To end this on a positive note: I really like your videos! Im a heavy crafter on phoenix, what i found helps the most is that you dont put up your item in the morning especially on weekdays, you put it on the evening during peak time and hope it sells, if not just adjust the price the next day during peak time again. If you undercut it in the morning, its just gonna help destroy the market price with almost no chance of selling

Markets for items on my server seems to crash very quickly. I may see that an item is being sold for 2,000 each, I list my items at 1,999 each, and then go check 2 or 3 days later to find that item is now down to 500 each. Markets seem to crash over night making it extremely difficult to make money in this game. Good thing gil isn’t extremely ness scary but still difficult to be rich.

What Cortana said. Market crash, but for plenty of items they also go back up randomly. You'll need to have patience, market crashes are a a norm now. However most item, outside of those always heavily supplied(endgame gear usually), will see their price going back up before crashing again. You'll need to either wait out the bear market or buy the items when they start to reach critically low prices to maximize profit by reselling once the market goes back up. But it requires that you analyze the market beforehand, to know the items regular high and low, and to be sure that the high isn't just a one-off for wichever reason. Also, server can have their own market rhythm. On mine, usually weekends are a period that see price crash for most crafted things, while materials price tend to drop, and the crafted items prices go back up during the week, while materials start going down again. It's not every weekend the same, but there's a general regularity to the market movements.

If this expansion is like all the others, any COMPETENT crafter (who isn't lazy) can make 10-20m+ in a day. You have to be fairly sharp, and you have to work your ass off. But most crafters want to be billionaires without really having to work for it.

Ya, I'd mostly agree with this. On average, most of the video it was easy to understand through your Asian accent. You'll be able to know better by looking at your watch time analytics, but I'd best the most important time to get English pronunciation right is in the first few phrases you say in the video. For example, I almost clicked off the video when I heard the word "welcome" as "waycome". But it was almost instantly better after that point.

This method should not crash the economies because you are checking various items and choosing what will work for you on your server at that time. I do something similar. When I want something but the price is higher than what I want to pay, I make extras and put them on the board to sell. It gets rid of extra inventory items and I make a little Gil at the same time.

The only thing I'd suggest for the example you gave is to try selling it for closer to the HQ item that was there. Any potential buyers only had 1 option until you posted that NQ version. Set the price to like 150k instead of tanking the price to less than 25% of your only other competition. If someone wants it badly enough, they'll buy it at your price, even if you have to wait a little longer.

I have so many mats and stuff that both my retainers and chocobo saddlebag are full. Is there any other place i can store things? I'm getting overburdened with how many items I have and I what i should and shouldnt keep

This is happening everywhere. I just gave up buying something, unless I absolutely cannot find it, or find it for a reasonable price. It became super disheartening when you're trying to level up a new DoH, and complete the Class quests.

I don't quite understand how this makes money, the chest piece you put up for 40k can be vendor purchased for 23k...is this targeting people who do crafting before MSQ?

There are plenty of people who play this game who don't even notice the vendor prices. You can flip things pretty easily this way, from dark matter, vendor dyes, ARR mats. Can take a while sometimes, but its legit free money with almost 0 time investment.

you cant. it doesnt work.i dont know...maybe on certain servers people are dumb as rocks so thats why you can probably get away with it here and there. but the sellers will usually drop the price to bellow vendor price. so even if you wanted to inflate the price, theres already 5 of em undercutting you by 60% on the mb. only option would be to buy them all and try to fix the price, but that can be a dangerous game (and new sellers are gonna come in selling it for what they consider an acceptable price based on how much it goes for at a vendor )

At the level, you can craft something with value to the market. But due to Glamour gear, it could be useful at 50 or earlier already

dyes tend to sell quite well since they're needed for peoples glamours and get ran through at a high rate, and the crafted weapons that are used as mats for the ARR relics still sell for a lot (depending on server) though they can be quite slow to sell. Always remember to extract materia once your crafting/gathering gear hit 100% soulbound since you can put that forward into new crafting/gathering gear that you make for yourself and higher ranked crafting and gathering materia tend to sell rather well since they're burned through by the ton for penta melding crafting and gathering gear. Housing items (and the mats they use) also tend to be sold at a pretty hefty premium, but again at a slower rate, once you can start reliably crafting them.
