Billionaire Nikhil Kamath uses unfair means to beat Vishy Anand, then apologizes

Playing a simul against Vishy Anand is a dream come true for many individuals. The man is a five-time World Champion and a living legend in the chess world.
On 13th of June a simul was held for a good cause where Billionaire Nikhil Kamath beat Vishy Anand. Beating Vishy gives you bragging rights for the rest of your life. The game was flawless and without any errors.

That he went ahead and did it and allege something is disrespectful."

Actually Vishy was very smart to resign instead of flagging. Reasons - 1) If he would have won, this cheating would not have garnered enough attention. 2) Had Anand won, Nikhil would have the excuse of not defeating Anand as time rather than position and could have easily been a flexing point for him.

He is definitely at fault, but the main culprit is the organizers. If you watch the stream you realise most of the guests used engine to play, but Nikhil was the only one who foolishly overdid it. All this to make the stream longer and get more donations. I mean there could've been other ways to do that, and not this, after all a 5-time world champion's reputation was at stake. Also, donations generate karne toh guests panel se unki income ka 0.002% le lete toh bhi 10L+ ho jaata 😭 Nikhil is a freaking billionaire.

In the same simul another celebrity Kichcha Sudeep Cheated. His previous games accuracy was 8% and 18% against 500+ rated players previous day but against anand it went up to 82% next day (joke?). He lasted 10-20moves against 500rated players in previous games but lasted 58moves against Anand. Unlike Nikhil he didn't fully cheat to not create suspicion and lost on time,hence his cheating went unnoticed. Even I was following up this event. Many actor(Sudeep,Sajid and Ritesh) pannel 1 said that they were playing chess very casually and they had nothing to loose. They play cricket in similar way to which Vishy Sir replied that this was not just a game who know little about chess. This was so disrespectful from these actors. He got triggered on twitter when some chess players criticised him but in reality they were speaking the truth. There is no need to mainstream a sport. If people are interested, they will automatically participate. Make the sport meaningful rather than making it pleasurable. Since chess is not a sport of India, we can't relate to it, hence, the viewership of players was less in the past. Rather focus on carrom, ludo, gilli danda, kho kho, kabaddi, etc. sports like these.
