@Masteruzi I think he would be belittling his opponent more by doing that. Also, he didn't get much time because he was called back by someone at the end. And last but not the least, he is a kid and it's taught you should clean up, do your stuff so he put his things on the board. These are my assumptions. May be it's not that deep as you and I are thinking.

Yes it is done in every small chess tournament i don’t know about big ones cuz i am not so much talent to reach there but in those tournaments where i went there after every match all the players put back all the peices on board after match . There my class mates and i don’t knew anything at first (in the first ever state level tournament i went) but there were some national level players who had came they did it so seeing them we all did it . 😅 although my score was 2.5 in 5 matches 😂(i lost a lot) but in one match my opponent cheated 😟 and there was nothing i could do

The kid played really good tactical, defensive chess. That's exactly what a young player should want to do against a much more experienced player who has many more prearrangements and lines committed to memory. You could see the frustration in Nak's face at times because his opponent didn't make an obvious mistake. He had a good awareness of the board at all times and forced equal trades from a very conservative position. As the kid gains more experience and adds to his repertoire, he should be a danger to the top players.

@Mısra Zeynep Arslan Nakamura went into the endgame with a much better position and a pawn up. At 13:00, you can see that his position is clearly winning, but Nakamura blundered with e4 and Praggnanandhaa didn't miss Bf4 to equalise. Like Marius said, the game ended in a draw and that e4 blunder is the start of it.

@@ravenptl true. i used to look at these "sore losers" as disrespectful and disgraceful but then it happened to me. i'm really grinding hard on this one online game and i know that i'm very good om this specific game. and it annoys me to no end when someone beat me in a match where i i know i can but a tiny detail slipped and it all went to shit, it would ruin my mood for hours. then i just realized, that's just a game. i cant imagine for the likes of hikaru who literally put in like 5-7 hours a day for chess only to end up losing when it matters most, i'd be sick too lol
