BILLLIE (빌리) - 'Memory Candy' MV (Reaction)

0:20 Yeah, my first read had it as Memory Candy, but while the album itself and KZbin only have the Korean title, places like Spotify have it as Remembrance Candy... which I'd take as official _enough_ confirmation... 😜 Note: the lyrics were written by IU! 0:35 Indeed, their last comeback was a whole year ago (as 5 members), with BYOB (bring your own best friend) and DANG! (hocus pocus). There is also a pre-release track called *trampoline,* and they're running them as double title tracks (they performed both on Show Champion today)... 0:55 That's the SNOWY man; he was in their snowy night MV (he's also made occasional appearances elsewhere, like on Yoo Huiyeol's Sketchbook). And this album is called "Appendix: Of All We Have Lost". "Billage of perception chapter three" was the one with Eunoia on it, about 18 months ago. 1:44 I've got to admit, I'm not _quite_ sure what they've been up to, but it does look pretty sus, doesn't it..? Sua and Tsuki appear to have knocked out the SNOWY man, Siyoon and Haruna look like they've been injured somehow, and Haram and Sheon _did not have that car in the teaser..._ they were hitchhiking... 👀 3:55 That Sua/Suhyeon hug at the end hits me every time; they're the two who were missing for months, so it's also kind of a "welcome back" to them... 4:10 That guitar outro is actually from another one of the tracks on the album, called bluerose... The song gets better every time I hear it, to be honest, but I still think it's my _least_ favourite of the six tracks on the album... which means, yes, I _love_ the rest of the album.10/10, no notes kinda thing. 5:25 Billlie have _very_ lore going on... 🤣 With a lot of their albums, they've actually had mini-movies release just beforehand to help expand the plot, but even if you've seen every video they've put out, there's still some assembly required, and I think some of the screws might still be missing. 😜_If_ you were so inclined, there's at least a couple of decent lore breakdown videos that offer grounded _interpretations_ of what's going on, but the puzzling can be a lot of fun, too...

I agree, it feels like you gotta stay on top of their releases to follow this video if there’s an ongoing theme. I don’t know Billie so this in my introduction to them.

They released 'Trampoline' a couple weeks ago. They're doing a double title track run this time. As much as I do like Memory Candy, Trampoline is my preferred track out of the two.
