This build is a lot of fun to imagine just shuffling its way through rusty deserts and canyons, following some weird collection of stars that the Hermit has taken an interest in for the past decade. And the painting on the crab itself was great! I don't know if you found this, but painting a bigger mini seems so much easier to try out all that stuff you see these high level paints doing on a ridiculously small space.

The building, the editing, the flow of the video, the music, the humour (though slightly opaque for a non-commonwealth native) are amazing as usual, but your painting skills have taken a quantum leap sometime in the last videos, from stippling the base colour in the center of the big rusted plates avoiding the edges, to the dabbed glazing in the claws (reminded me of Sergio Calvo...). Really enjoyed this wandering Craibniac...

What your builds include that not many other crafters have is composition and purposeful intriguing silhouette. Other crafters don’t seem to think about about those important fundamentals as much as.. it makes your models feel more real and less like random bits just placed together.

Carcinization; noun. The tendency for crustaceans to independently evolve into crab-like forms. Apparently there's just something about crabs that is so optimal from an evolution point of view, that crab-like forms have evolved so many times we have a whole word for it.

I'd have to say this, the tank, and your scatter terrain with the sign, well, and plant domes have to be some of my favorite builds you've done recently. This one is great. I love how the crab turned out. Also, I must say that recently I started using more EVA foam in my builds. Created two industrial tanks for a game a while back and I did not have my usual material for cladding on the tanks. Money is a bit tight and I had some EVA I never used and decided to use it. Worked great. Easy to use and took glue like a charm. Going to be using EVA in my builds a lot more now. A bonus, it's dirt cheap.

the wandering hermit could be a sort of baba yaga-like figure in ruster folktales, serving as both a powerful villain and a source of magical assistance, depending on the story. If you seek them out, it's likely you'll be devoured by their house or horribly cursed... but if you're brave, careful and virtuous, they may just grant you a bit of their power. that's the reason why so many rusters have been killed by the hermit lately. living outside their city in small bands, weathering attacks by monsters, adventurers from respite, and even other bands of rusters has left many of them desperate, to the point they're willing to risk their lives on a folktale. and, well, if they die, maybe that sacrifice will be enough for the gods below to start listening again.

Really cool build, it's up there with the tank you made recently in my favourites of yours. If you ever want to diverge from EVA foam and try metal, an easy to get and work with metal is cutting up soda cans into sheets and voila! You really tried harder on the painting and it shows, it ended up great

Oh JUNK GOD Bill please hear me although I am not worthy of your notice. Just a thought, probably not even an original thought, but hey.
