This is a good video. However, I find it hard to believe that so many vloggers say that the white sand in Destin "never gets hot". We've been vacationing in Destin for over 30 years and always the week after Labor Day. The white sand can get very hot to the point that sandals or aqua socks are needed.

Yeah, that seems to the wrong assessment. It wasn't hot when we were visiting. Maybe it's like the weather in Destin. People say it's cooler than other Florida beaches. But it's only a degree or two cooler in the summer.

It never gets hot. It’s cool to touch and soft. I don’t think you been to Destin or at least have walked on it. It just doesn’t get hot

@@BillMarion I live here on Okaloosa Island. I have NEVER experienced sand too hot to walk on on the island. Maybe this occurs somewhere in the area but haven't seen it - yet.

The non stop helicopter tours passing overhead all day long has just about ruined Destin beach. And this is coming from someone who is a LIFELONG aviation fan.

We didn't see any, but I guess it's too soon. Did you see the Air Force museum in the video, or have you been? I really liked it. Didn't really have enough on this trip for a separate video, but it has to be one of the friendliest military museums we've visisted.

@@BillMarion I've been to the Naval Aviation museum in Pensacola numerous times, but haven't been to the Air Force museum yet, will definitely have to check it out next time we're down there!

35 yrs (79 to 85), ago we went twice a year and we rented a condo. Tons of them and very reasonable. It is beautiful, but even back then it was SO BUSY, had to wait 2 hours for a restaurant table. So we had a grill, and started cooking in every other night. Dear Lord! It took 4 yours to get to the grocery and back to the condo. Bummer to bumper traffic, start, stop, start stop? Now 35 yrs ago it was that nuts! It was our last trip there. Just way way to bust for our tastes, and we were young?…… Simply can’t imagine what it’s like in 2024……..SIGH……… We would stop at the Air-force Museum . Well worth several visits!
