If stuck in a pinch, you can use a very small Allen key push down the side one at a time then pull it out use knife blade to bend back out afterwards

cannot for the life of my remove the pins on a set of cablemod connectors. I notice that the spikes don't go nowhere as deep as shown in the video and even trying to hammer them further doesn't do anything. Wondering what I'm doing wrong as I am following this video exactly. Both fins on the outerside hugging the pin and pushing it through.

Hi, where can I find an ATX-2x4 power cable for my Gigabyte laptop P55W. It's an 8pin (2x4) but it's smaller than the PC version. Thanks.

Is there a way to tighten up the pin fitment on these? Particularly on the 4 pin CPU connector, on an older board? Mine are so loose that it keeps randomly shutting off the PC. I know this is the issue, because if I just wiggle it or touch it with my fingers, it shuts down. It's very loose.. It's quite an annoying problem. I'm literally thinking about cutting the wires and just soldering them into the board.

yes, just widen the two prongs with exacto knife, so pin is snug

@@MaxellAdGuy On both of my 4 pin adapters coming out of the PSU, a couple of the little fingers are broken (the plastic).. So it doesn't hold the little connector pin well and it's just kinda flopping around and weak and doesn't grip the pin at all.

Been watching your content for a long time.., That is a great little tool have to say have you though about making a small tool kit of removal tools for the other types of pins that builders builders/modders encounter..? One mistake I nearly always make is forgetting to bend the wings back out..,

I'd love to create modding tools like that. I was making reference / ruler tool for modders for awhile. I've been overwhelmed with pc build commitments, which has taken me away from creating more products. Thank you for the great comment today!

Real desperate here. Wire was ripped out of terminal so it’s stuck in the socket. Have removal tool but how would I pull it out without wire in there.

Or what I do at work. If a psu is being thrown away I salvage the connectors. Really handy for custom cabling a beautiful build later on. Finding these parts isn't easy in my experience. Can't easily find them on Amazon really. If anyone knows of what their names are so I can buy them then lmk.

I need to alter my Sata power cables for a different modular PSU that didn't come with cables. Different PSU's (Corsair v ThermalTake for instance, or even just different models of Corsair PSU's) have the 3.3V, 5V, 12V & Ground are on different pins ... otherwise you have to spend $100 to buy a complete new cable set for the specific PSU ... or $4 pull and re-pin and a perfectly good cable is back in use.
