I've bee running a FS90 for 12 years now. I have no idea how many hours are on it but it still runs strong so I'll keep using it. I used to turn my handle off to the side as well until I got a gorilla grip for it. At that point the factory handle came off. I've been watching you since the FS 13 days. Keep up the good work Bill!

I have 2 stihl trimmers, one is a 130r and other one is a 91. The 130r started running different so bought the other one last year. I had to adjust the 130r because it was starting too hard to pull and that fixed it. The other one after I got it at first very hard to start and keep going but now it's fine. I quit using stihl oil mixture and went to echo red max and I mix it with non ethanol gas 93 octane. I know a guy who uses racing gas and his octane is 111.

If they are still having problems check the spark arrestor they could be plugged a little bit since you use a little extra oil.

Aloha Bill! Nice to see two Stihl trimmers mostly because I was about to add my first Stihl to my aresenal, but my one and only local Stihl dealer doesn't have the models I was looking at! Thanks for explaining the odd set-up with the throttle triggers as well as the D-handles - never had an issue with my current trimmers. Nice that you haven't had any carbon issues with Stihl oil, but you are probably running the units at full throttle, so no issues with it not burning off? BTW, the FS94R (the FS70R was the other) was one of the units I was interested in, so it would be nice if you could elaborate and/or do a video on that trimmer as well. Was it too under-powered? Once last note, great to see that the 4-Mix has been problem free, as that was one of my concerns after owning a few other "true" 4 stroke machines. Mahalo from Kauai, Hawaii. Take care, Thomas

Your friend said 800 hours that’s a mistake, with a good fuel to oil ratio they could last for 20 years plus.

Most 2 stroke oil has a fuel stabilizer. Now with Canada’s new corn laws in fuel, you no longer can find 0% ethanol in premium fuel at the pumps. I get my premium fuel from Shell and now notice 2 grades of premium. A 91 and a 93 octane but all gas now says, may contain up to 10% ethanol. So now I have to buy Ethaol Shield at Home Depot to add to my fuel in my performance 70 car and my small engines. Our leaders want to keep our farmers in business. Meanwhile ethanol is like brake fluid and attracts moisture because its hygroscopic and when gas sits it will eventually have water below the gas because its heavier than fuel. If not treated it will rust out the gas tank, lines and if your running carbs, then carbs as well. Farmers won’t be impressed with their old equipment. What a F up Country. 1st you can’t have weed killer throughout Canada and now the ethanol BS shoved down our throats.😢
