Hello ASL Heroes!!! Hey, I could really use your help. If you’ve enjoyed having access to an expert in ASL you can help me continue my work for you. A small monthly donation from you would instantly make a big difference here at the studio because teachers don’t earn much and I could use some help paying for server and domain hosting for Lifeprint.com. Right now you can help out a humble (not to mention kind, caring, generous, compassionate, helpful, friendly, fair, and hard-working) ASL teacher -- just go here and a few clicks later you too will be a true “ASL Hero!” www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=64QMBRBXQSV6G Thanks! - Dr. Bill p.s. Want to have your very own USB drive with four semesters worth of ASL instruction (that’s the equivalent of two years of colleges classes) for just $79.95? See "SuperUSB" in the ASLUniversity bookstore at: lifeprint.com/bookstore/bookstore.htm Take care and love to you all. :)

Every lunch break I can take a chance to watch your videos I do. Learning sign language on my own is rewarding, and challenging at the same time. a) I have a client that is deaf since birth b) She signs both in Spanish and ASL - So I learn from you ASL, then I ask her to sign it - Spanish to English. Rewarding and challenging at the same time. I am grateful to you for this.

I didn't get all either, when shoulder-shifting came up I started to drift into space, good thing it filled in or I would have stayed that way. Today my ASL class started, teacher Deaf, it was an absolute blast, she knows how to make it fun, long time teaching~

I love watching this. I used to know sign language quite well. Haven’t used it in years and sadly forgot a lot. Although I do remember a lot of what I’m seeing. Great for refreshing.

I had battery for #3 and also missed #28:Summer. I have a question. Was #40 wrong? You put an “X” under it. I also said color

I furrowed my eyebrows while signing color. That created a meaning of "what color?" (which might be glossed as what-COLOR?) So the answer "color" would receive partial credit if that is the way scoring worked on this test. Or it would receive zero credit if the test is graded more strictly. The fact is, eyebrow movements can (and often do) change the meaning of signs and if an interpreter of ASL states a meaning different from that which was signed / intended by the Deaf signer -- it can have serious negative consequences. (For example, in courtroom or medical interpreting situations.)
