Hello Meredith I'm Sonja and I'm deaf. I live here in Germany.I remembered my time was hard because i and my german friend visited in Florida.We met my american friends and we don't understand anything ASL. Communication is very important and also understanding. My american friend and I went to the book store. She bought to gift 🤟the ASL book for me and I took the ASL book home. I learned the ASL book for 1 year but learned it myself. It was hard for me but I had a lot of fun and I flew there again. We get along well and communicated.I am glad to understand us.Communication is gold. I didn't give up to learn ASL.I love ASL 🤟 I saw you on youtube and i still remember ASL. You are very good job ASL and have a nice day =)

What I want is someone I can chat with in ASL as a way of practicing. I really want to be able to communicate to anyone deaf I will be because I feel terrible when I see them and can't say haiii, I want an ASL online pal☺️, apparently none of my siblings is interested in to learn ASL with me. These videos are helpful! Thank you..

LHTS now offers an accelerated membership that includes a community of ASL students who practice at least once a week over zoom and discord! I personally have gotten a lot of growth out of being able to practice with other learners in it.

What is the difference between HOLIDAY if I tap my hands (instead of move them back and forth) and VACATION? Is the only way I'd be able to tell the difference between these signs in the context?

Hey thank u for these videos! Im trying to learn sign language and i was wondering if your videos are mirrored and if it matters what hand i use for each gesture
@l_iz_lgndry0118 Жыл бұрын
It’s been a month so you probably found the answer already but anyways yes the video is mirrored. You can still do it with your left hand though. What’s important is that for any sign where one hand moves and the other stays still, your dominant hand is the one that moves

Just a heads up: the named "sections" of the video set in the description are off-centered on the timeline because the minimum amount of time a section can last is 10 seconds. Thanks for the signs!
