Rivers is a tortured soul. Imagine for a minute when he released Blue album. It was a unique album he poured his entire soul into, this young guy who lacked confidence in himself and was still in this adolescent stage of fear if rejection, and it blew up. Then he released Pinkerton, which had all of him in it. He finally found the confidence to release it before being shit on by critics. So what did he do? He went to poppy shit.

Always loved the Operation Space Opera version. But I got to admit you got that raw feel in this recording. You know, that Pinkerton feel. Their's was more a green-ish produced version. But don't get me wrong, that aint a contest or anything. I'm just happy I get to listen to whichever versions I want to whenever I want. Great job! Much love

This is what I consider a musical restoration. It's great! Maybe you could try doing the last song off Hurley which is an overlooked tune and tragically self buried in a garbage pile of questionably horrendous producion choices to have this found tape effect. Which falls flat on it's face and does a painful bellyflop. But the song is still good.
