I'm howling with laughter, 'cause I was a Coventry car worker in the '70s, and this sketch is exactly how it was back in the day. Thanks Billy for bringing back the memories!!!

I worked in a Clydeside shipyard in the late seventies and I can relate to every part of this tale..every yard must have been exactly the same

I was an 18 year old girl and decided to walk home one day right on the road next to the shipyards, along the river Clyde in Greenock, Scotland - Out came a sea of men, with their flat hats, overalls and tin cantine, never again! :) Thank you for the memories Billy!

Unless you've worked in or around heavy industry yards you won't know how true-to-life fekking hilarious this is. They DO hide in lines around corners and behind doors and when that hooter sounds you'd better not be in the way .... arrrggghhhh ... trample ... crunch ... then up and down the street to their cars for a Le Mans start ... vroommmm ... screech ... bang ... shove ... all the way to the red light down the road. Priceless.

As an american I'm not sure you would even know the location of Ireland. As it happens, Billy is Scottish. As for US comedians: Bill Cosby is De Man! A polite version of Billy but equally true to life. =D

Billy is just talking about his recollections, what he saw with his own eyes, could it not be that some of the guys whom he worked with, also saw the funny side, after all he is letting it be known that they were around at the time...i don't agree with gnamp's comment, but that is his opinion.
