I absolutely adore this man. I have for a very very long time. Not just as a comedian, actor, and musician, but as a wonderfully wise human being and engaging story teller. Despite an abusive childhood and hardships he faced as a young adult, Billy has always been able to maintain a healthy perception of life and what it truly means to LIVE. His intuition at balancing the good with the bad and his deep understanding of the human condition fills my heart with hope and optimism for the world. I love you, Billy. There will never be another like you.

I figured that out years ago and I tell people who care to listen that forgiveness has more to do with you, than it has to do with who you are forgiving or what you are forgiving them for. By forgiving them what you are saying is, I will no longer let what you did to me, affect me. I have been carrying this burden which has affected me in different ways at different times in my life but now and forever more, I am taking the power to hurt me that I gave you for so many years, back and will never let you or what you did, hurt me ever again.

Yeah he's an absolute legend, got to meet him once after a show he did in Adelaide back in 1995. Remember it well him saying, "Jesus Christ you're a big boy, remind me not to get on the wrong side of you." Then he did this funny sort of mock cowering thing and said "Please sir, don't hurt me, I swear on my mother I didn't eat the last sausage roll", I was pissing myself laughing (For context, I'm 6'3, product of a maori mum and italian dad and at that time had just stepped away from A grade rugby, so I was quite big and mean looking).
