I heard of this man and his awesome Jiu Jitsu. I wish he would show BJJ a thing or two regarding the effectiveness of true REAL Jiu Jitsu. Heard he passed away. God Bless him.
@sylvanusjoseph11404 жыл бұрын
@Legba daniels BJJ is effective. It is weak in other aspects and severely so. I made an error by writting how weak BJJ is thus some individuals thought my thinking meant the whole art is poor. NO ITS NOT. That was not my intention. Apologies. I merely wanted to state the art has many flaws and to open individuals eyes to see the difference between a sport and the real thing. However a sport works so does a streetfighters kick betwen the legs. Martial arts is not just combat.There is more to martial arts than rolling on the floor. There is no weak art but only weak person.

Why can’t I find any Traditional Jiu-Jitsu sparring or rolling online ?
@sylvanusjoseph11404 жыл бұрын
@Legba daniels l also agree with you regarding those martial arts you stated. However its not the art but the person. Karate who beats BJJ does not mean that BJJ is weak but rather the individual from karate whom mastered his art gave him the upper hand. The art is just a name. The individual is the important product.

@@imnotsure3334 because supposedly its too deadly to spar. Personally if you study traditional Japanese Jujutsu, you could probably try to make friends with karate guys and spar with them, and try to make your techniques work.
@merziinarie62664 жыл бұрын
@@Projectdarksource i disagree. There were so many times that Jujutsu fought Judo for some reasons (mostly, Judo won). Now, Jujutsu doesn't fight anymore (include sparring). I don't know why. But "too dangerous" isn't the reason. I'm sure of it.

At least this Jiu Jitsu can defend against multiple attackers where as BJJ can't but claim to be real in regards to non resisting opponents. This Billy Doak could show BJJ a thing or 2 on what's real Jiu Jitsu
@imnotsure33344 жыл бұрын
Sylvanus Joseph lol. There is no resistance. Each person he is demonstrating this on is letting him do it. There is no live training. They don’t spar either. When do you ever see a Jiu jitsu guy in the UFC??
@sylvanusjoseph11404 жыл бұрын
@@imnotsure3334 Um, excuse me GypsyKing 1999, but its just a demonstration. Why should there be resistance when he is simply demonstrating the techniques?
@imnotsure33344 жыл бұрын
Sylvanus Joseph lol if you ask a question like that then you don’t belong in any kind of full contact martial art or combat sport. Yes he is showing a demonstration but he should also show how it can be used effectively against a resisting/ non - compliant opponent. The reason why he doesn’t show this is because he knows it doesn’t work and would look messy. The only way to develop effective technique in any kind of combat/ self defence is to roll/Spar with resistance. If you do it in a choreographed manner then you arnt building skill and arnt learning to adapt because you know what you partner is going to do. A real fight/competition is unpredictable and very intense something him and his “Students” know nothing about. I’m still yet to see this martial Art used against someone who doesn’t want you to do that to them.
@imnotsure33344 жыл бұрын
I’m going to post links to several videos below to help you understand why sparing and rolling is essential for one to build technique and be efficient against non resisting opponents.

What I don't like about what he did is the fact he never worked on picking up someone like that who's bigger than him. Sure, he was good at what he did, but what about for smaller guys?
@johnbow1002 жыл бұрын
You don't pick people up as such, better to think of it as falling over each other. I trained under Sensei Doak for many years and was around 13 and a half stone. My ukes were regularly over 3 stone heavier .If the technique is correct it isn't a problem.

What you said is pretty damn sexiest and demeaning, your basically saying that women shouldn't learn how to be attacked realistically in class, which in turn will set her up for failure when she's in real self-defense situation. If she doesn't learn to fall properly or learn to take a hit to her body,she will be in a lot of shock in real time.
