So glad you aired this. The Bible is very clear about when we die. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. The Bible is also very clear about how deceptive the enemy is. This world is occupied by deceptive spirits and demons from the enemy. But we know as Christians that when Jesus Christ is Lord of your life there is nothing to fear. I never knew how the bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 11-14 “and no wonder for satan himself masquerades as an angel of light”. 2. Ephesians 6:11-12 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Proverbs 4:14-15 Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way. 9. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 You must never sacrifice your sons or daughters by burning them alive, practice black magic, be a fortuneteller, witch, or sorcerer, cast spells, ask ghosts or spirits for help, or consult the dead. Whoever does these things is disgusting to the Lord. The Lord your God is forcing these nations out of your way because of their disgusting practices. 12. Isaiah 8:19 People will say to you, “Ask for help from the mediums and the fortunetellers, who whisper and mutter.” Shouldn’t people ask their God for help instead? Why should they ask the dead to help the living? There are more warnings about the paranormal and it is for a reason so even if you think it’s harmless and it’s for good, remember the devil is a liar nothing from darkness is good. When he talked about how learning about the enemy has led him further into Christ, that kinda happened to me as well. My eyes were opened to some principles that apply to two different things that were relevant in my life: The reason you see so many pop stars/rock stars talk about the devil etc. in music is because creativity ONLY comes from the spiritual realm. To get even more specific, it ONLY comes from God, but the devil also tries to steal God's stuff to deceive us. Because of this dynamic, those that become FAMOUS can only get that way by devoting themselves to either God or the Devil. Those people that have musical ability but never seem to get anywhere are in that limbo state because they haven't devoted themselves to one or the other. They may enjoy creating music a lot but they haven't picked a side. I then realized it's the same with business. The reason you see so many corrupt businesses is because there are only two ways to have that kind of wealth, either God's way which is designed to both allow His children to prosper AND overflow into those in need so none lack, or the devil's way, which is really just the devil stealing God's abundance from the spiritual realm and using it to raise a corrupt person up so that he can hinder as many people as possible. Again here, a successful business is less about the physical realm and more about whether the person has picked a side or not. Those that struggle in business do so because they only think about the business and not who to pledge themselves to. Learning this for ME at least made me want to give my life to Jesus even more. If the ONLY way to get anywhere in life is one or the other, I'm definitely choosing Jesus! It also made me love Jesus more because He loved me enough that he wants His creativity to flow to me so that I can be a creator as well!

Kirk, I am a spiritually gifted Christian, I have had varied experiences throughout my life. I have never really felt supported by my church. I have been called to write a book of my experiences and let all the spiritually gifted that they are not alone. I believe that the spiritually gifted are leaning towards witchcraft and the new age religions because they feel accepted by these groups. I hope books like this don't make other Christians look at the gifted as evil. I serve God, no one else. I use not tools and never call spirits to me. this is really sad.

I’m a Bible-believing Christian, but when I was about 14, my grandfather died. His body was in the closed coffin 2 rooms away (that’s how they did it in the rural areas), and I saw him sitting in the chair in my room. He was just sitting there and it wasn’t scary. I could see through him somewhat. At the time it seemed normal…I can’t explain it.

I have had supernatural experiences I am certain are demonic; I have also witnessed something similar to what you describe. I believe this is a Mystery of God, but I am inclined to think maybe there is a brief period of transition from this existence to the next, and as an example I recall Jesus saying, “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.” (John 20:17. I am not in any way comparing any human with the divine ascension of our risen Lord and Savior, but this is a curious statement that makes me wonder. At the moment of her death, my mother appeared to one of my sons; while in hospice around the time of his death, my mother witnessed him in her room comforting her. With this said, we must always remember that the devil is a liar and delights in deception. Certainly we are not to invite or speak with spirits. I have not personally known a case like yours or mine where the person's appearance was not immediately preceding or after death; in other words, they do not "linger."

My brother died 45 years ago when we were teenagers. One night I saw him standing in the hall looking at me. I jumped up to go toward him but he was gone when I got there. My parents said that sometimes we see and imagine things after a tragedy. They said it was best to not go around talking about it. Ok. Fast forward about 38 years. I mentioned on Easter at my sisters house. My other brother said he saw him too (Different days) and he was wearing the same thing I saw him in. I said I never told anyone at all except Mom and Dad. He said he never told anyone either. We never saw him again after that.

He didn’t attend church so the church excommunicated him. I’ve also heard that nonbelievers have seen the angel of death (the figure with the sickle) at the end of their bed.

My mother's grandfather came to her at night once, he had been dead since she was a child. My dad had been electrocuted at work, was in the hospital, and she didn't know if he was going to die. Her grandfather told her, "Micheal is ok, and the kids are ok. Everything's going to be fine." And, he disappeared. The next day, my dad came home, a little scorched, but ok. I'm wondering, when it's a brief message of peace like that, maybe God sends a messenger? I wouldn't talk to a spirit, though.

Hi Kirk. I just realized how enoyable it has been to watch your career to see you become a genuine minister of God by virture of your sound interviewing skills. BTW, my wife and I once had a house where we could hear footsteps going through the house , as though lost and confused, for the first month after moving in the home. Once we had a house blessing with fellow believers and shared communion in Christ we never heard the sounds again. It was as if we helped the "spirit" know the Gospel and move on to the next demension. After that for the 10 years we lived there, people often told us how they felt peace and love glowing from our home. Maybe not a haunting as the world would explain. My wife and I both went two weeks before admitting to one another the sounds of footsteps. We never felt threatened. After blessing the house we felt perhaps we helped a borderline believer move on into Christ's kingdom.

Last summer my son and I were sitting outside and I love to take pictures on my cell phone of him and I on our deck. While I was on the deck I sensed a weird presence and thought it was weird my son was waving at the lawn. We went inside and I wanted to check my phone and there was a picture of someone's arm and shirt a tall man I had never seen before. I thankfully never saw the face phew!the camera didn't capture that! I was praying and freaking out all evening and putting on worship music. Totally freaked out!

I once moved into an old apartment complex to run, it was two buildings for tennant's and one big house that I moved into. One night as I went to bed alone, I turned the lights off and laid down praying before going to sleep as I prayed I was hit in my temple as though someone was laying next to me, and had hit me I got up quickly to turn the lights on and no one was there. Needless to say I didn't stay the entire night indoors, I slept on the porch. I looked in the mirror the next day and had a bruise on my head. So you can't tell me there's no ghost or princapalitys.

This conversation is so shallow and light. It is obvious that neither of these guys have had supernatural occurrences. I'm a strong Christian but I have been touched at night by "something" that was not there. It's terrifying! I pray God's protection over me. People who have not experienced these things have no idea how horrifying this is. It's certainly not something to take lightly. I'm looking forward to heaven. In addition to that, some Christian thinks that their deceased loved one is there watching over them, and guarding them like a guardian angel. What I remember is that those spirits already had a final judgement to go either heaven or hell and that they cannot communicate to the world of the living (earth), just like in the story of the rich man and Lazarus. But yah, correct me if I'm wrong coz I tend to make mistakes most of the time. lol

When friends or loved ones of mine are grieving, and they make the comment about the recently deceased watching over them, I tend to not say anything since I don't want to be a Debbie Downer in that moment 😟 But I don't know if that's the best approach to take.

Yes it is something that people who don’t know Jesus or God’s word will often say when they lose someone. I was into the new age spiritualism for many years before I was saved, I would search for the paranormal in anything and believe that ghosts wandered about communicating with the living, until Jesus showed me the truth. I never realised that I was messing with demons who would keep me intrigued but at the same time kept me separated from my saviour. This is why we must share the good news of Jesus Christ with all who will listen because these bible verses are so true yet the lost, (who include people who call themselves Christians, as I did, but are not), don’t know how dangerous the demonic can be. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2. The night after our mom died, I went back home to spend time with dad so he wasn't alone. We both went to our bedrooms that night, fell asleep, and I was awoken by my mother's voice at the head of my bed, calling out my name. I woke up and just chalked it up to a subconscious coincidence. *Never told my brother,* who was living across the country at the time. Then about 7 years later, dad passed away. The night after I found out he'd passed, I texted my brother to inform him of dad's passing. The subject of our house being "haunted" over the years came up. I told him it's not the ghost of a human that was haunting our home. It was a demon. Then my brother mentioned that whatever it was that had been apparently haunting our house knew how to mimic mom's voice, because, he told me, *"Right after mom died, I flew home to spend a week with dad, and I was awoken to mom's voice calling out my name from the head of my bed."* That's when the hair stood up on the back of my neck and I informed him for the first time that I had the exact same experience at the house, in the same bedroom, the night after mom died. We were both spooked. But I reassured my brother that mom's spirit belongs to Jesus Christ, and is now in His possession, and that there is no way her spirit could possibly be anywhere on this earth. There is no biblical evidence that supports the idea that human spirits to wander the earth - absolutely none. There is evidence, however, of demonic spirits who manifest for the purpose of harassing, and even seducing human beings in the hopes of turning our gaze off of Jesus Christ. The demonic realm is very aware of human curiosity when it comes to the occult and spiritual realm overall. The Bible is our safety belt, and that's what we use to determine what is true and what is false; what is clean and what is unclean.

16 years ago , I visited my brother in Northern California. That nite , I woke up with the strangest feeling around me and when I looked up , I saw an older woman in a blue dress standing over me. As she disappeared, the sensation stayed for awhile. In the morning , we found my brothers dog had gotten tangled in it’s chain and died. Everyone told me the vision I saw was “grandma” who had lived in the house but had died years before. The uncle had brought a “spirit house” from India years before and strang things continued to happen. First , my brother started drinking after 16 years sober. Then he left his wife for an old girlfriend. Then he accidentally killed her in a moment of rage. He’s still in prison but I’m pretty sure he knows now that it wasn’t grandma…it was a demon.

I think you got it right. Ghost is demons. Demons manifested as ghost to anyone using body structure of a person who had demonic possession. As everyone knows, demons don't have flesh, but they are spirt. Ghosts are deceptive demonic spirts. For instance, demons manifested using the body of a deceased person who had demonic possession. It is a signal for you that your grand ma had demonic possesion. If you keep praying for her, her soul will be delivered out of hell and be in heaven with the Lord Jesus.

I lived in a 3 story Victorian haunted house. My dad had a priest bless it, & my mom called paranormal investigators. THEY HAD BEEN OUT THERE PRIOR, by a former owner having the same experiences! They didn't find anything, so I realized, those tests & tv shows are fake, but the 'hauntings' are very real. Several dozen people, saw physical things in our home, & our family fought all the time. When we sold it, our family got along great, full of love & no fighting.

Things we saw: a woman in a long flowing dress, a dead man hanging, a candle picked up out of the holder, smashed into the mirror on the hutch, and rolled on the floor. Radios & tvs would turn off/on or change channels, running up & down the stairs all night, shutters opening/slamming, drawers opening & slamming shut on their own, kleenex box sliding off the toilet & across the room into a wall, dishes pulled from cupboards(my dad put locks on them, thinking we were doing it, and we weren't. )

My mother died from metastatic breast cancer in 1989. She has come to me more than once. I have been in her arms. I have sleep apnea. I have heard her calling to me to wake up when I have stopped breathing. I have spinal stenosis and had to have titanium screws put in my neck. I came home from the hospital in a huge cervical collar. It left no room for my CPAP mask. I had to sIeep in my recliner. I was asleep in my recliner when I heard my mother telling me to wake up. I swatted at the air and said no leave me alone I Wanna sleep!! She kept telling me to wake up . When I opened my eyes there she was. She smiled at me, pulled the quilt I was under back up around me, smiled at me again and disappeared. I am also a very vivid dreamer. When I need to know something it comes to me in a dream. I also helped someone who was dying and was really scared because he didn't know what would happen when he died. He didn't know what was there. After he died, he came to me in a dream and thanked me. Yes, you know him. I'll give you a few hints. A Texas cowboy, who auditioned for the role that shot him to fame in his cowboy boots. If you thought he was beautiful when he was alive, you should see him now!!🤗💕

If it was a demon it would have hurt me by now. It is probably a neutral spirit or good or a negative human spirit. I have had it around me since my late teens or early 20s. I would noz started have believing in God if I had not seen the ghost as I am a creature of logic and on the autistic spectrum, I cannot 'walk by faith' as my logical brain will not allow it.

I posted a movie called - Spiritual Warfare Movie - Broken Chains. It tells a real story about people with demons. If you go to Africa or Latin America, there is a chance you will see those things. I know a girl that came from Brazil and went to California to study on a Christian university. When she was there, she saw a girl behaving like someone with demons. She performed a deliverance and the girl got better. The next day many teachers came to my friend saying that those things didn't exist. The only person that protected her was the president of the school who was a missionary overseas and knew about those things.

When people come for prayer you must fast and pray before you pray for them I have seen demons jump from person to the next a Bible study,especially if you pray for immigrants. Their cultures, of voodoo,santertia,bujeria, tatot reading palms astrology. Keep safe brothers and sisters

Interestingly, I haven't found a place where the Bible says a demon possesses a person. The Greek New Testament often says a person has a demon/evil spirit etc., but it never says a demon has the person. That's a translation issue, and I think it's an important one, It's the difference between "I have a disease" and "A disease has me." Demons certainly to oppress people, harass people and so forth, but the New Testament never says the demon has possession or ownership of the person. I think that's good news.

I just wonder about what is in my childhood home. We had cabinets and doors open on their own and slam shut, our mattresses sink down enough to make us roll to the side- like someone sitting on the edge of the bed, excercise equipment move on its own (it’s not electronic), a smell of baby powder when we didn’t own any, and my grandmother’s who doesn’t believe in ghosts found baby footprints in her carpet after coming back from putting the vacuum away.

There is also something that I cannot describe other than a shadow person. The stuff in my childhood home always felt innocent. With this, my 7 year old and I saw it on two separate occasions and talked about it after he mentioned it to his grandmother, who also admitted she had seen this type of being before. The shadow person feels 100% evil. It is literally a shadow in complete darkness that walks and can stretch his body to hover over you. When I saw it I prayed for God to remove it from our property and it hasn’t been back. Right after I prayed there were rainbow like light orbs floating around where it had been.

It is helpful to know that Scripture teaches consistently that we are mortal. When we die we are actually dead. We "sleep" until the resurrection where we in our bodies will be raised to life and be clothed with immortality. We do not live on in heaven or hell after we die like the pagans believe. The judgment comes after the second resurrection. Those whose names are not written in the book of life will face the second death, not eternal torment in hell.

Heaven is much better than anything in this earth. Yes it’s our human minds who want our loved ones to still be around when they’re physically gone. Yet we have to remember that you wouldn’t want to eternally wander earth after death, because we would rather be with God. He didn’t create us to be wandering souls to have to continue our earthly duties or watch others. That’s not of God. I want to be with Him when this body is finished. No pain, no sickness or sorrow. We don’t need to be obsessed with the idea that humans stay behind as trapped souls or even that we watch from heaven. That’s not in the Bible at all. We have to stick to scripture and stop letting the world influence us.

First of all, before Jesus came all mankind when they died were trapped in Hades, which had a good side and a bad side. When Jesus came and he died he cleared out the good side and now only the bad side remains. So going forward as the Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord only applies to believers. The notion that people can die and their Spirits are somehow walking around is simply untrue. The question really is what are demons? There's only three things that the Bible talks about God creating that are alive, people, animals and angels. However there is another entity that was created but not by God, a hybrid. This entity is known as the Nephilim. Now where does the Nephilim go when it dies? Does it have a spirit? This entity is a blend of humanity and Angel kind. Some people tend to think that demons are simply fallen angels and that is poor theology, these are separate beings. Now what if the Nephilim actually had spirits but had nowhere to go after they died. And when God decided to wipe them all out and start Humanity over during Noah's flood because these things were taking over the world, what happened to their spirits? Are these perhaps the entities that people are coming in contact with? Food for thought.

Remember that the bible talks alot about the spiritual realm about principalities and authorities in the heavenlies. Many theologians have talked about this for example C.S Lewis in Screwtape letters (I recommend reading this). Because we live in the physical realm of our flesh we don't see what's going on unless we are allowed insight through revelation like John for example. Demons are spirits and they can also see/be aware of spiritual things like the passing of a person's spirit. They can imitate spirits or "make themselves appear" like other spirits "masquerade as angels of light". The bible instructs us to be cautious and on guard. "put on our armour" and "test every spirit" for a reason....
