@eldridge201 Жыл бұрын
@@fourseasons4105 and I'm betting many people could think of 20 "modern singers" that can't sing or perform worth a crap and Billy definitely is better than them. Billy isn't perfect or the greatest out there by any means but he's pretty good for the most part. If you haven't listened to Billy sing this song live other than this video, then I think you have to at least give him a different change and go and listen to him sing this song from other videos. Even some other ones as recent as a few months ago or 2 or 3 years or 7 to 10 years ago still sound very good. If you don't like this "version" of this song, I understand that because personally, I don't like that he's changed the song to sound a little different from about 15 years ago and they did a more acoustic part to it with him singing the beginning of the verses in a lower tone. That part I get if you don't like it because I don't like it either. But, you can't say that he can't sing very well if you've listened to other performances because for the most part, he does very well. Again, not "perfect" but he's pretty good. And back to the point, he does sing a lot better than many singers that have come out over the last few decades. And, of course, there have been some very good singers that have come out during that time as well. The thing is, multiple things can be true at the same time in this situation and I feel that's what's going on here. But, in fairness, I don't think anyone has ever regarded Billy Idol as "one of the best singers" in the world to begin with. And Billy seems like a humble enough person that he himself probably knows that he's not the best singer out there. But considering his age and how many times he's performed over the years, he's doing a very good job of keeping his voice on point.

The lyrics “I’m so out of hope” are very fitting here.

Says at the start that he can't hear a thing, it is super hard to sing properly when you can't hear your own voice, no matter how much muscle memory you have

Being a musician that uses in ear monitors…. Sometimes things get funky. I get noise soup sometimes. Easy to get lost. Billy’s a rock god n true fans n musicians know that he’s the man. Mad respect to him.

Steve Stevens: Regarding any negative comments of our Rock In Rio performance, particularly “Eyes Without A Face,” this is from the previous night. We simply could not hear a damn f#cking thing at Rock In Rio.

Total pro, struggles at times with the best of them, and with all that sophisticated electronics and sound productions as part of the show, who knows what he was actually struggling with. I love his Bitter Taste tune.....rock and roll legend.

So brave and rad for being like that. Showing that side, not just faking it and lying to the crowd.

Sounds better than all the reggeton singers without their autotune. Idol and Stevens are legends.

And that right there is a real singer guys. A real musician. A real person. No backing tracks or lip synching here. Fair play Billy 👏
@davidellismartin9619 Жыл бұрын
Seems he’s sung it perfectly since this. Maybe there was inadvertently a tuning effect in his in-ear monitor which threw him off.
