Jamel, there's no words for how much I love "Rebel Yell"... Billy Idol... and ALL his songs! Damn Jamel! You hit my jam! The story behind this song is so cool. He was with Keith Richard's & Mick Jagger at a party & they were drinking a bottle of whiskey called Rebel Yell! I've seen interviews with the GREAT Steve Stephens, guitarist, on "Professor of Rock" tell how him & Billy wrote it. Steve used a toy ray gun from his toy collection to get those crazy fun sounds. They always leave he said like 18 (number could be wrong) bars in his music so it can be changed up by DJ's into a club mix. In this song it's the bridge where Billy goes low "I walked the world for you, babe A thousand miles for you....." Type in "Professor of Rock Rebel Yell" if you wanna watch. Just to throw this in - he did an amazing breakdown of Hotel California. Best I've ever seen. "Professor of Rock Hotel California" You nailed the meaning: one night stand & she wants more, more, more! 🤣 Next up!!! Eyes without a face, Dancing with myself, Hot in the city, Mony Mony, & Flesh for fantasy - among other classic Idol hits from the 80's. Definitely another rabbit hole to explore deeper! You wont be disappointed - lots of bangers from Billy! :-) Back in my California high school days (early to mid 80's), I used to crank this on my car stereo, windows down with my friends hanging halfway out, bass turned up to max, while we "cruised" down the boulevard on Friday & Saturday nights. People parked on the side of the street, watching the cars go by would join in - dancing, singing, & yellin' MORE! MORE! MORE! as we slowly drove by in bumper to bumper traffic with other cruisers. Every car had bangin' music, so it was like a rollin' dance party or a parade of great music of every genre. Great times! I miss those days. :-D

Loved this song. I used to listen to this sometimes on my way to work or after. It gets you going! I would sing the chorus at the top of my lungs, especially in the summer.

I think it's his best song. This is what I call a cruise control song. If I don't have the cruise set and this song comes on, I'll be doing 90mph by the end of the song.

My wife and I saw him few years ago in a standing only club and we were 2 rows in from the stage and the place was insane. Got a high five from him. Greatest show we've ever been to.
