I'm 65. I recall as I young man working in a factory, manufacturing in Birmingham, UK a couple of the lads had a dispute over something or the other and were effing jeffing on the shop floor. They decided to take it outside to settle the dispute man-to-man old-school, then come back inside shook hands then got back to work. The foreman turned a blind eye as that's the way men would settle arguments back then. Talking about turning a blind eye, the late Zulu Baz from Brum may be a topic for you to cover in the future! It’s a shame the way this country has gone. We need the days where you’d have trouble, fight it out and shake hands after. Most of the time, all was forgotten after the fight, the odd time you’d have some fool come back at you in different ways. Nothing better than coming out of a fight and knowing you’ve given it your all, win or lose. I grew up in the 90’s early 2000’s and seen how bad it was getting. Had many broken bones and stabbed twice, that was my time to get out. 1yo daughter and a another prison sentence sealed it for me. Still do bits but nothing major. Now I see the youth stabbing and shooting each other over nothing but words. Shame, hopefully we can turn it around but I’m very doubtful. Great content mate, liked and subbed.

I worked at Hanover Grand nightclub, in London, in the late nineties. Billy would pull up in his black sports JAG wearing a black leather jacket, gold tooth and thick cuban link bracelet and march into the nightclub unchallenged. He always looked cool AF and was admired by all the doormen. He greeted everyone and I remember him well because he would look over and wink and say, "Alright young'un" and tip us on the way out.

Great content Matt. Good to see Dave Courtney keeping well, I was actually planning to get engaged to his niece a few years ago (back in Belfast this is), absolutely lovely girl. Sadly Covid blocked travelling to the Caribbean (the holiday she always wanted; where I was going to pop the question), then even worse after she got Covid herself, they found out she had triple stage 4 cancer, I think you can guess what happened next, absolutely brutal. Anyway, she hadn't seen Dave in 25 years (when she lived in London for a bit) but always spoke very highly of him.

I've always been fascinated by the stories of all the famous or infamous people and what the truth really is from a Dave Courtney program when I was a kid to Bartley Gorman and Paul Sykes, seeing Lenny Maclean and the Gypsy on TV - Their biographies always seem to say they weren't ever bullies but stories contradict - I really like your take on these things and thanks for doing them. Believe it or not, Matt, Garry was at one time my niece Angie's boyfriend. He was about 6'10 and I remember at a pub one time standing on a table seat to speak to him (LOL! Maybe that's because I'm just an ankle snapper!) I always found "G" to be a very nice guy. He also came to my dear Mum's funeral in 2012, I had to travel from here in Montana USA back to London. When Garry was leaving he hunkered down, smothered me in his huge arms and said goodbye. My Mum liked him a lot too. As big as the mountain of a man he was I only ever witnessed the gentle side of his nature. He'd put on a lot of weight since I'd first met him all those years before that. But he was nice guy. Matt, you're still doing great brother !!! Your channel's always top notch and always fabulously entertaining. Looking great buddy ! X :-) I'll be back viewing as I always do ! 🙂
