Billy Jack was my all time favorite movie growing up. It’s difficult to express what an important movie this was to many of us in that generation. He gave hope to many of us who came from abusive families and horrible neighborhoods, etc. I myself was a survivor of severe childhood trauma. He taught us to believe in the spirit world, respect and defend ourselves and others who cannot defend themselves. He taught us through his role and movies to believe in the spirit world and there is so much more to life and eternity than what we see with our eyes. Enjoy the spirit world by brother! Hope to see you on the other side one day! This movie and character gave hope to so many people.

As a child growing up in an abusive home and then the abuse at school,Billy Jack gave me hope and helped me learn what real honor was. I was in love with him and wanted someone like him in my life. Thankful that there were good wholesome shows and movies back then that showed me how to be a good person, because I rarely saw it in real life. Thanks for sharing

I'm 61. I saw this film in the theater in Los Angeles when I was around 9, it changed my life. It shaped who I became. I modeled my personality after Billy Jack. I wanted a horse, a motorcycle and a jeep. I wore cowboy boots to school, only to take them off and act like I was going to wop ass on people. I wore a black t shire and levi jacket all the time. I really was delusional. If you made a film about me it would be called; 'The Boy Who Never Grew Up'. I still cry when I watch this film. Its still one of the best films ever made. God bless Tom and Deloris for creating this timeless masterpiece. RIP, you gave the world a piece of art that will never diminish.

I lived in Prescott Arizona when they were filming this movie, attended school there, got to see some of the filming, a lot of work was done on this one fight scene to get it just right and most of it done by the martial arts instructor who was training Tom Laughlin at the time. Still it was fun to watch being shot and then again the film cut version in the theater a year later.

Always looked forward to Billy Jack on T. V. Back when we only had 13 channels. Made sure I did my Homework and other Chores so I could see this movie. I saw a previous comment about this movie being Too Idealistic. Well guess what, ITS A MOVIE! Don't see the problem with presenting a film about a bad ass protecting People. It made alot of money. And was enjoyed by many. Clint Eastwood always was a badass who stood up to bullies. But he used a gun. I think the message in Billy Jack is Somehow Justice will prevail. One of the many great movies Ive seen in my 50+ years. I know so many people that see movies and get too caught up in whether its too over the Top. Its always just a movie. Though Ive known people that fought off 3-5 People. No karate. Just heart and Speed. Along with a bit of fighting experience. Voicing my opinion.
