We've seen no X-rays or photos from the hospital of this supposed broken cheekbone and eye socket, fight must have been well over a month now and so until we do see some evidence of these injuries he claims we can safely say you just gave up as you knew you couldn't beat canelo to win. Ive just watched a video from top rank about inoue ' the monster ' and in the donaire fight he had a broken orbital bone and a broken nose and not only did he fight on but he took some massive shots to the head and as an ex boxer I can only imagine the pain he went thru ...I've had a broken nose before ( not in the ring ) and if you even touch your nose slightly it feels like a fucking huge electric shock so I have nothing but respect for inoue...he even let donaire take the trophy home to show his kids ...now that is pure class. I said from the outset that I didn't blame Billy for not wanting to continue because the reported injury is a bad one ...but he's either got a super human ability to heal or somebody's lying cos he shouldn't have been able to wear sunglasses never mind driving a car....they usually have to wait for the swelling to go down before they operate ....and then it swells up like a balloon ...at least three of my old pals suffered that injury and they looked like the fucking elephant man ....they all said they couldn't even go outside cos the light hurt their eyes so much ....there's no fucking way they could have driven a car . I've got family from co cork that are travellers and bare knuckle fighting is part of their culture and tho I think violence begets violence I have to say that there no where near as brutal as what people think ...if you give it your best and get beat by the better man then there's no shame in that ...but if you quit because of the fear of getting stopped that's a big no no ...so the way I see it Billy will be judged by his people and their not stupid ....you can't just claim to have your face caved in to the world and then go back home and expect them to believe you ...cos they won't. I always thought Saunders had a bullys mentality and sometimes with bullys they lose their toughness and spirit when the pressure is applied on them and that's what I saw ....and what it made it so much worse was the way it was handled afterwards ....it was pathetic . I respect every fighter that steps in the ring but the truth is if Billy gets back in that ring his opponents are gonna know that he's got a limit ....he's not willing to go out on his shield...and I'm not judging him ...he has to judge himself . Billy has said and done some stupid and frankly spiteful things over the years ...offering junkies money to slap each other....so there isn't a lot of sympathy for him at least Dubois stopped the fight himself so he didn't have the luxury of having people second guessing whether his corner pulled him out.....

Dubois was clearly having a problem with that eye from the seventh round on. If all you saw was him take a knee from a jab in the tenth round, then it looks like he gave up. I saw Saunders take a powerful punch that seemed to cause him major damage and I don't know what the corner saw or heard from him, but I would say that having a good corner is key to surviving an injury rather than getting career-ending or debilitating injury like Kell Brook's seems to have been, although he did also lose to two top fighters in GGG and Spence. Maybe Billy Joe will think before he calls other fighters out for being a coward. Especially since I don't think he wants a giant like Daniel Dubois looking for him...

I agree my friend had an injury like that it took more than a month to recover he couldn't drive until everything was ok billy has no damages to the face or a scare

Alberto S - Why does he need to prove anything to you. @Alberto S WOW WOW YOU THE GREATEST. Eriksen had nothing to prove to me either all he wanted to do was to reassure his family, teammates and fans that he is ok. It is just strange that a man that gets a prostitute to slap people, talks about how to slap women on youtube (check them out) cant send a pic from the hospital bed saying that he is ok and will be back home soon or something to that effect. Ebanie Bridges has more heart than this guy....he has a long long long long long way to go....get carried out the ring brother, get carried out the ring He deserves the stick but I keep the same energy as I did with Dubois, if the doctor takes a look at that eye and does the "how many fingers am I holding up" test, the fight would be over. the corner would look terrible if they sent him out and then the Doctor has a look and stops him going into the round.

The ringside doctor did look at BJS eye and said the fight can continue. This was seconds before Tibbs wave off the fight. Look at the replay, the person with blue gloves examining BJS eye was the ringside doctor.

It's a kind of circular logic,fighter's make up surgery exactly because ppl see it as weak to be beaten,therefore if they do lose they feel pressure to make it more than it may have been. Billy did himself no favours with DD comment's,and idk if he had any surgery,but we should all understand that any man can lose to another on any given day,only ppl who do not fight don't understand this stuff.
