Billy Joe is my all time favorite song writer. He had a way with lyrics unlike anyone else. This song is no exception. Great songs and no one sang them like did. RIP my hero and friend!!!

It sure was, and it is breaking my heart to watch it. Eddy's playing only got better and better. I saw him two months before he died, and his playing level was way up there. I guess the two of them are playing in heaven today. The two of them together was something to see for sure. I'm glad I got to meet both of them, Oct 1999, Gulf Shores Alabama. A night that will always be with me.
