his band sounds amazing!! his voice was so incredible in the first 3-4 years. love that early period. Larry Russell & Rhys Clark my favourite rhythm section of his live. Ron Tutt was still the best drummer he ever had though. phenomenal on Streetlife.

This is beyond awesome! I've never seen the full appearance before and it sounds great. Piano Man plus two great songs from that album: Somewhere Along The Line and my all time favorite Billy Joel song, Captain Jack. Just a little push and I'm smiling! Thanks for posting!

@@UnkDrummer that's awesome. his original band get no credit, its so unfair. they were his band from 1971-1975. I actually had some contact with Larry Russell here on youtube around 2007... back when youtube had a "messenger" tab and you could message people. he was so generous to me.

There's any way to get a raw version of this video?

Seems he wasn’t be to say “masturbate” for this show back in ‘74. Times have changed…

@thequinnster72 He said it on the Midnight Special in '75 and on radio shows before then, so I wonder if the Rock Concert was an exception, not the rule. Either way I'd say times have changed for the worse.
