Billy McFarand - Gentle Mother

This is is one of my all time favourite songs, with nice lyrics, and the legendary Billy McFarland performs it beautifully. Billy McFarland comes from County Antrim, and is one of Ireland's best trumpet players. He is also a wonderful singer, and has been in the music business for many years, with numerous excellent albums released. The song was a big hit in Ireland a long time ago for Big Tom & The Mainliners, but this version from Billy's amazing CD/DVD ''Memories of Gold'' is excellent also.
