Billy is a great origin coach. admits to feeling the nerves like he's still on the field, Gives his players confidence that they can handle the bright lights, not afraid to go left when everyone is saying go right. all the qualities of a great player which he utilises to be a great coach

You can tell Billy slater just wants to give his opinion and say that was well deserved, if you watch the whole week out of the blues camp they were saying to smash Reece Walsh and they did but cost them the game. Billy knows it’s was intentional but he’s just all class when answering these type of questions

I 100% agree. as a blues fan i noticed immediately the red target on him. natturally so, yes, but this was particularly intentful, a prominent stay in madges game plan. Funny thing about it was, when he was pressed about it he flat out denied it was ever spoken about and pedals around the issue and is never giving straight honest answers. Everyone watching knew that what joseph done, given the timing of the match, like, so early on. To do something like that was selfish and joseph is a good guy, i believe he was directed to play reece hard whenever he could. Not just him but liam martin and others also. it just come of wrong. it was a very thin line he chanced it and the price is not only did we lose any hope of game I but now the roosters are fkt for 4 rnds and madge now not only has to save his job but spin another outfit for game II.

I agree. I was not so impressed with Queenslands performance. We can do a lot better than that. QLD allowed NSW to stay in reach for far too long and too much of the second half was played in QLD territory, with QLD defending.

Billy should make some changes. We’d have slow play the balls and they had fast play the balls. Completely dominated. Need more control in the middle. Match the nsw physicality.

Harry Grant had shocker. Tries to go for the flashy plays too much. QLD let NSW back in the game leaving Harry out there for too long. Ben Hunt needed to come back on earlier and it proved the difference with his 2nd try. Broke NSW back with that try
