It was totally accidendental, but Sualii had the choice of a regular tackle or a statement one. Unfortunately, he went for the statement shot, and so he should. But he got it wrong, players who want to make an impact with hits have to take responsibility not to get it wrong or let their team mate down. The NRL and similar contact sports are coming down hard on such offences and rightfully protective of players. It was right to send him off every day of the week. I try to measure the time between the ball passed and the tackle.The fact its look late. You need time measurement one second a reference for the future .

What's wrong with this "professional" caller NOT seeing a replay, there's been hundreds of them!

QUEENSLANDER!!!! Blatant and deliberate tackle and deserved the send off no matter which team did it.

Origin should be officiated differently in regards to ruck infringements, six agains etc not tackling like that

there has been 3 send offs in orign in like 50 years, get over it the rules dont need to change for something so rare.

Are you saying that he didn't break the rules... what's on your mind??? The ref make the right decision to enforce the safety of the players... same thing will happen if the Maroon did the same thing...

Stop crying , that’s a send off every day of the week. I’ll discipline costs games.

Sorry but State of Origin is not as important as the GrandFinal. It's great for the NRL and TV networks because they get the big bucks but not as superior that they can have their own set of rules. The sent OFF rule however should be revisited in the offseason. Maybe send the player off but don't leave 12 men out on the field for the rest of the game because we all know what's going to happen and that's not fair for the fans and players who will have to work extra harder to cover ground. Just have a player short on the bench

That was the first time I didn’t see Walsh cry after getting tackled flopping and pleading for a penalty, I guess it was cause he was too busy having a nap

Yes, he did. It wasn't deliberate, but his shoulder hit his head. I follow NSW, but was more disappointed with suaalii decision to try that hit. I can remember Wayne Bennett talking about those tackles years ago saying they are a small return for a big risk. He fucked any chance NSW had of winning in that decision

Hynes couldn't kick 70% of power because his calf is injured and they made a call to play him.

3 mins in and we’re trying to say there’s no angle to prove Walsh was hit in the head. That’s all I need to hear to stop watching this nonsense.

Joseph Suali Send Off is just unfortunate for him and most espcially Walsh the injured player including the ref and the bunker. It is just one of those incidents which has occured during the origin game in the name of sports. Looking at the videos it all happen while both players Suali and Walsh already were in the motion of the game as an accident unintentionally to hurt one another. Mareta.

There was no tackle, no arms used, it was a shoulder charge and his head was hit so automatic sendoff.

Running in with your arm outstreched is NOT intent, it is OBVIOUS!

If I'm madge I'm telling my players to drop their trajectory so even the slight test head high contact I'd tell also to fake a concussion and if they don't send that off I'd tell my players to walk of the field. Take bias out equation I support nsw if qld had done this I'd treat the same way with just a sin bin. We weren't robbed becuase I thought qld were the better attacking side
@makepa24754 ай бұрын
Origin games can only be officiated differently if only NRL decides to invite another ref from another country non NSW and non Queensland to ref the origin games to avoid complains and impartiality throughout the games from origin 1 including 2 and 3. Mareta.

As Manley fan congratulations to DCE the captain for Manley and the Man of the match for origin game 1. All the best for the rest of the origin games and not forgetting the club games too as one of the NRL good captain and a professional sportsman with good reputation. Mareta.

If you are going in like suali did you have to get it right. Suali's right arm was by his side, and he led with the shoulder. If he gets it right it was still a shoulder charge, and would be a penalty. But he got it wrong. Could have been career ending for Walsh.
@letstalk32654 ай бұрын
The flogs are producing another South Park inspired book call ''Waaah!''. Sua'ali'i cost his team. Play the whistle. Our game has refs. They made the call and all reasonable people, even legends like Freddy, said it was the right decision. Now the NSWaah's need a rule change. Boohoo boohoo. The highlight for me was Gal the Greatest Grub interviewing the Blues players with the opening words being NSW were ''so bwave''.

In Clubland players get charged for using their shoulder to tackle. That is exactly what Sualii did running and using his shoulder to tackle. The coach would have said to target Reece period.
@joegrehan86084 ай бұрын
There was intent, they targeted Walsh with intent to hurt him. It’s a fine line and he got it wrong. Take your medicine and stop whinging.
