Genuine as anything, distinctive as anything. She's gonna go far, I know, but she's fighting the same against the stream fight as Strings, in that they are both non-conforming to the industry standard (new country) mold. But man, you can just hear the honesty in their music. Sorry for the rant.

This melody is pretty basic patterns. He’s a good guitarist, don’t get me wrong, but any person could achieve these skills within ten years or so. Given regular playing and a willingness to improve.

No, it's a bluegrass standard called Cocaine Blues that has been around for years. Many artists have done a version, old crow one is pretty good but it's not their song. Some parts of the song were taken and different backing music added to create the Johnny Cash Cocaine Blues, there's a little reference in the Cash lyrics at the end "Come on, you gotta listen unto me Lay off that whiskey and let that cocaine be"

No, listen to "Heartbeat of America" Billy is a true original. But also yea this is an old timey song and OCMS is neat.
