Thanks Theo for tackling subjects that face us all. the one thing I do know after being AA for 21 years is a lot of this evens out the longer your sober.. the hard part of being sober and having trauma issues its we turned to the booze and the drugs to NOT feel. feeling negative emotions and tackling past trauma sober is what warriors do. its easy to fall back to addiction but that is a bottomless pit that steals your soul. I've been watching theo for a while now and my greatest desire for him is to be free and find love..he mentions often that he wants to be a dad and he would make an amazing one. my only suggestion is to be honest.. go to the room and say what you feel.. we are so filled with shame when we sober up and there were things I did I thought I would take to my grave but I told everything in the rooms.. everything done in the dark will be brought to the light.. the sunlight of the spirit cleanses all.. i was also shocked when I did admit what I did and many ppl were like.. oh ya I did that too and worse! the steps are a stairway to heaven and each one cleanses you and makes your whole again..shame and guilt is what keeps us down.. and as far and the program its been said many times it was channelled by god himself. i believe god loves loves alcholoics because of the redemption factor.. ppl in AA are some onf the most loving ppl I've ever met. great episode theo and keep peeling back the layers of your onion.. each layer will bring you more peace.. for anyone else out there struggling.. find a local aa meeting its a step you can take.. its free and it can be the beginning you being who you were supposed to be before all the trauma and booze . God loves you I love you and you are worth it!
