My grandfather used to play this song. I grew up hearing him play and sing it all the time. It was one of my father's favorite songs. Some of my best childhood memories are of singing along to him singing this in the car. He passed away 9 days ago. I wish I had found this sooner so I could have showed him. He loved Billy strings and would have been so happy to hear him doing this song...

That's one of my favorite Country Gentlemen songs. I'd love to hear him do Behind the Waterfall and the Ballad of the Rebel Soldier. Rebel soldier was my grandfather's favorite song, and even though he's been gone more than 30 years, it gets me choked up every time I hear it.
